Mariee Juárez was hospitalized after leaving the family detention center in Dilley, Tex., and died six weeks later.
Mariee Juarez was 18-months-old when, recently, she died from a treatable infection when ICE failed to provide adequate medical care despite repeated requests from her mother.
While the media has moved on, we at the HPA believe that stories like Mariee’s and the other still detained children need to be told. That’s why we’ve teamed up with Define America’s Week of Witness, singing lullabies for all the children separated from their families.
