“Everything is an illusion, everything is a dream, nothing is that which it seems” In the short novel “Nevsky Prospect” Dostoevsky warned us with these words, as he watched people of all classes walking up and down on this historical street of Saint Petersburg every day. Inspired by this story, I captured these images of the Nevsky Prospect and the intersecting people’s lives in a Saint Petersburg’s night. These images rapresents our actual condition of life spectators, always gazing, absorbing the world through our devices, from behind a screen. But this is a non-revealing gaze that will only render our feelings, our perception, our imaginations, creating blurred liquid memories:“Everything is an illusion, everything is a dream.
