Finding out Kurogiri is probably Shirakumo...is really fucked up. ( Also, I guess this means that going forward Vigilantes has to be canon. Which I’m happy about personally because there’s a lot of good tie in and they do Midnight some justice. )
This proves AFO is a total bastard we know he enjoys renaming people as he did with Tomura. It’s almost baptismal. Like renaming them for evil.

It explains why his real name was never revealed before and why he has no backstory as a villain.
This also leads me to believe that Kurogiri is basically a nomu. Possibly one of the first nomus, definitely one of the more intelligent. He’s almost autonomous and is capable of critical thought. So I imagine AFO did very little tinkering with Kurogiri as we know the more you stuff in the more mindless they get.
I’m also led to believe that he doesn’t have a physical body. Akin to Alphonse in FMA his consciousness is connected to that metal brace. Yes, the anime did show Kurogiri bleeding, but I sincerely think that was a fuck up. Hori clearly takes inspiration from other animes.Shirakumo’s cloud has been compared to Nimbus in DBZ. So I don’t think borrowing from FMA would be that crazy.
