New Year
New year, new beginnings, new everything... This is what we hear or say when a new year begins. Most of us make huge list for the New Year Resolution, in which some stick to it and some fail to do so and often brush it off till the next year (and repeat) and regret it later. My dear reader-friend, if you ever made some resolutions, failed to stick on it, this post if for you. I ain't no pro in it, but I can assure you that it might help you in some way or the other.
You already have this hindsight since the day you have started making resolutions. I suggest why don't you make a monthly resolution. Sounds weird or interesting?! (Let me know, please.) Like our forefathers once said, "It only takes 28-30 days to develop a habit" and the rest will be as a ritual to follow. It is as simple as having smaller portions of food regularly after 2-3 hours. At this point, you might be confused about shaping up the monthly-resolution list. Easy!! Do something like this:
January - Read a book.
February - Adopt a hobby.
March - Reduce the screen time.
April - Learn that recipe you wanted to learn for ages.
May - Go for a solo ride/drive/vacation.
June - Learn a new language.
July - Read a book (again).
August - Dude, you made till here. Cheat month!
September - Plant a tree.
October - Take your loved ones for a vacation.
November - Read a book.
December - Since it's 'the time', gift some warm clothes or feed the ones who need the most.
Alongside, try to maintain a bullet journal or a diary to keep a track of what you have achieved each month. When the next year approaches and you look back to this bullet journal or diary, you will retrospect that you have achieved more than you could have ever imagined.
It is never too late to start. Start now or never, and you did you'll thank me later.
Sending you all the good vibes, warmth and happiness this year. Happy New Year.
Cheers!
Gopika
