Black Friday Doorbusters Are A Scam Here Are Some Pretty Okay Computers For Pretty Okay Prices.

This refurbished dell has a slightly older processor but is generally pretty okay. VERY good price for a business computer right now.

New Desktop prices are kind of high right now but this Lenovo is a pretty okay deal if you absolutely positively have to get something that is new.

IDEC if it's refurbished, anything under $400 is a good price for a 17" laptop with an 11th gen processor. HDD instead of SSD is not great, but you can swap in an SSD with minimal effort. Excellent laptop if you like carrying a cafeteria tray in your messenger bag and long to watch movies in widescreen on a portable device without having to squint.

This is a perfect student/home office/general use laptop. Would work great for artists who aren't doing video, would be perfect for someone who needs to make a lot of excel files. This is a very good option and a very good price for a general-use laptop.

That moment of hopefully not premature squee when the stuff that took over an hour to load onto a USB stick on a Windows 7 machine downloads onto the desktop of a i9 Windows 11 one in under a minute.

New-not-so-new laptop

So recently I bought a new laptop for under $300 using my CNY money and ofc I'm stupid so I didn't check with the seller specifically...

It's an asus something in black-gold color and it's big and it reminds me so much of grandpa (an old laptop I bought in Japan that takes more than 30 minutes to connect to the internet)

Anyway, it's troublesome to even take the laptop to the store-as I'm now in a different city- and have them change the screen (there's a minor screen damage; a black spot and a white spot that just won't go away) so I just left a bad review:

for stating the laptop as new despite it being not new (they claimed these are laptops used for display but why does it has a record of download from 10 years ago!?)

the minor damage on screen.

all that aside, I did buy it for cheap, and they said they have upgraded the memory from HDD to SSD and it's working quite well compared to grandpa.

SO.. I think I'm going to try loving this laptop, as I'm only using this for admin purposes I don't need it to be fancy + high performance BUT I do need to like it to some extent. So I'm going to personalize it; starting from the desktop

probably there will be more to customize but so far I'm liking it

This MSI Desktop is a very reasonable option, but I would recommend upgrading the RAM - which should be easy in a desktop this size. It only comes with 8GB RAM and a 250GB SSD, but it has an 11th gen processor and should be a decently quick and functional little machine.

This micro tower MSI desktop is a decent price for what it is. The 11th gen processor and new OS are nice features (a lot of preconfigured machines still have Win10 on them so it's nice not to have to do the upgrade yourself) and it is definitely a space-saver. It should be relatively simple to upgrade the RAM and SSD if you need to down the line
