#new ducks

The ducks waiting to be let out of their pen in the morning so that they can rush straight to the pond. They get quite hopeful and noisy when I turned up but unfortunately had to wait a little longer.

The new ducks - Hester, and the unnamed black duck and greeny black drake - are not used to this routine yet and stay in the pen even when the gate is opened.

So yesterday, after 8 years of asking, my dad finally bought me baby ducks. Then in one afternoon my mom and sisters lost them. They were named Jack and Sally. Now today my dad decided to go buy two new ducks for me. I named them Shock and Lock. It isnt the same since it feels like he tried to replace Jack and Sally, but i cant help it I guess. Sorry for a small rant of this. I figured id inform tumblr

New Ducks

Getting coffee this morning and in walks a group of 7 new ducks. You can tell they are a little green by the way they talk to impress each other and giggle as they read the "no starbucks" sign on the door of Roma. Their conversations are recalling their successes of high school and their confident opinion about their class choices. Little do they know that this week starts the greatest 4 years of their life. When they will meet their greatest friends and become the person their want to be. I want to tell them how jealous I am about the opportunities they have before them. So, to the new ducks, I want to wish you the best of luck over the next four years. [Insert long drawn out follow your dreams and take risks... type speech]
