ABOUT DUIFGUIDE
DuifGuide [pronounced dife-guide] is a universe I mainly write about through my fantasy guidebook. The guidebook, or the titular DuifGuide, is a guidebook taking you through most fantasy creatures and phenomena with explanations and descriptions for each one, along with illustrations on each page. The working title is Duifguide: An Extensive Guide to All Mythologic, Magickal, and Hidden Phenomenae. Read more about it here.

did some fruit dragon doodles!
Some info on them:
Fruit dragons, while resembling in many ways actual dragons, are not truly related to the latter. They are instead specially bred various subsets of reptiles and amphibians, or at least descendants of the vanity bred species' created by elven and lumiad allies before the great war. They were once kept and shown as a status symbol, and even trained like pets, sometimes to carry letters or participate in races with other dragons. However, after the war, most lumiad and elven countries discarded them to the wild.
There are breeds for every known fruit. Not all breeds are capable of flight, some even being amphibious, like the raspberry or cloudberry varieties. Some are venomous. Others can spit fire, acid, or even poison, among other things. Rarely, some varieties possess multiple abilities, like the huckleberry breed, which is venomous and spits jets of boiling water. Most fruit dragon venoms and poisons can be counteracted with a simple bellwater and choff dust slurry, caked into a wound or injested.
Most fruit dragon varieties survive today off of mainly their sponsor fruit. Because of this, when a particular fruit goes extinct, its dragon counterpart tends to do so as well. Only two varieties are carnivorous: the jackfruit and the dragonfruit. However, they mostly prey on small animals like mice and rabbits.
