Moving to a new town in AC:NL
So it's Christmas and, after months of using my sisters game and 3DS to get my AC:NL fix I finally got my own! Luckily, all of the effort I have put into my character on her game can be easily transferred onto my new game and 3DS!
However... I realized there was not a lot of information on doing this.
So to ensure the safety of Glucose's future, as well as all of my effort, I made a nice little test dummy to check some stuff I noticed not many people mentioned or did not go into detail about when looking this up.
Pros:
If you do not like any of the maps you CAN click out of the game via the main menu and it WILL save your character stuff. Saying that a character is moving in and it will continue the process when you go back into the game. (where you will proceed to just say the time, pick a town name, and map)
You do NOT have to live in a tent and pay money to get your house back. It just appears and invisible movers move your furniture in.
Your character and house are 100% the same. Same name, same hair cut, same contacts, same furniture, same house, same everything.
You get to keep all of your bug, fish, and underwater library things! So no starting your collection over!
All emotions stay as well!
You stay a member of the HHA
All of your designs stay with you/all the ones you saved are still there
Every badge you have earned stays as well
loan is not made any larger/stays as you left it
IF YOU GO TO YOUR OLD TOWN THE VILLAGERS WILL BE ALL LIKE "OMG HOW IS BEING A MAYOR??? YOU WILL DO AWESOME"
Catalog still full of your stuff
Cons:
All of the furniture, cloths, or items in your storage spaces are gone.
None of the shop NPCs remember you
No QR code reader at the start.
No Island at the start.
You have to get all of the extra shops allll over again
Unsure???
You may get more mannequins? Seeing as you have to befriend everyone all over?
