i now officially squat 145 and deadlift 165!!! didn't add any weight to my bench:( stayed at 75. i was REALLY hoping to hit at least 80 (i'll be honest, that number stuck in my mind cause becca from beccaliving has on her faq that she benches 80. LOL just keepin it real) but i've still got so long to go!
i look back at like four weeks ago when i was using the smith machine for squats and couldn't imagine how anyone could do squats without it, because i couldn't figure out how you could balance with that weight on your shoulders!
i feel so, so good about myself. lifting is making me into the person that i want to be, fitness wise. i feel it in my very soul- i am going to be a fit grandma!!
and i'm pretty sure if i hadn't joined tumblr and found all these beautifully strong and intelligent women to motivate me, i would still be doing endless hours of cardio and eating nowhere near i need to eat to be happy and healthy.
