The siblings are back!!
As a way to kick things off again here, i decided to draw again the 2 kaiju (at least 2 from the many) that i loved drawing. Along with an extra bonus of giving a ✨redesign✨
I did love their designs i gave them before previously (imo they were iconic so i wanted to follow up on those as well). Though of course, things evolve (artstyle wise) & new ways of how i can improve their appearance. So with all that, i took those other designs & referred back carefully to their official design by Toho. With that, i was able to combine & make my own NEW designs for them. I did keep the intended “baby bubbly” look (the fact that theyre still the closest to being just a [baby] kaiju compared to a full grown kaiju)
Even with the slight changes that if youd compare the 2 designs together, it almost seems like *these* would be them but just slightly older in age. However theyd actually be the same. Supposing (& we’ll be using human years just as a way to better understand) that Junior is the youngest sibling & Minilla just being slightly older. It’d put them around the range of Junior being around 3-4 years old (comparing to human years) while Minilla being 5-6 years old. They pretty much have a 2 year difference between them. But that still doesnt stop them from being close to one another as like a mini sibling support system. Just like he’s always been interpreted, Minilla despite being the oldest is more or less the nervous & awkward type that doesnt like to put themselves in a fight (w/o immediately being scared & wanting to run away). While Junior isnt afraid to put herself out there to protect her brother & even if it means to fight. Junior is essentially Minilla’s main supporter wanting to help in any way she can to encourage her older brother & be the motivation he needs
(The detail about them being older/younger is based on 1st appearance; Minilla being introduced before Junior did in the franchise but both being Godzilla’s own children)
(Also the fact of Junior being a girl is on my own behalf, at least in my own version so i hope that can be respected Also i did give her another name that she goes by, that being Ami)
But yes, theyre back and with new designs and hopefully as i try to revive this blog of mine after some months of hiatus, i can draw more of them both along with sharing more of my ideas and thoughts i have about them⭐️
I also apologize for the long ramble, its just been a while & felt that maybe i should reintroduce them to everyone just in case
