Thieves at Glenfort Farmlamds
We cleared out of the Mucky Duck cellars. Colette was concerned lest her dinner guests notice the goblin problem. I decided to take a late afternoon walk by the river near Glenfort Farmlands and see about the goblin thieves there. I dispatched several of the thieves and returned to the training hall for my bounty - 500 silver coins!
Daedalus also tallied my hero score and cleared me as having successfully mastered the skills taught with his latest training method. He is a good teacher and I like that he refines his methods, always trying to improve. To my surprise Daedalus rewarded me with 750 silver coin and some training tokens I can spend on acquiring new abilities.
So far I have accomplished the Fledgling Adventurer feat through successfully completing 10 quests, and the Journeyman of the Realm feat by attaining Level 5 in my training. I am now trusted to range into areas surrounding the Village.
The only thing I have not done that Daedalus asked of me today is to purchase the Squire’s sigil, but only because I haven’t earned enough valor yet. I’m going to have a quick supper and see if I can earn a bit more valor today. I also need to visit the Temple and stock up on health potions.
As you've probably figured out, I love neuro research. This article by The Atlantic explains that learning new tasks and behaviors forces our brain cells to form new patterns of connections. This pattern forming is the essence of learning. What's interesting about this new research is that it shows the connections are stronger when they have "neighbors." In other words, a second connection strengthens the first connection.
