Newberg school board: Recall signatures on Brian Shannon appear to qualify for January ballot

Shannon will likely have until Friday to resign or face the will of Newberg voters.

Newberg school board Vice Chair Brian Shannon, the architect of a ban on political symbols in schools who sought to specifically ban Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ+ Pride, appears sure to face an ultimatum: resign by Friday or hope that Newberg voters will side with him in a January recall election.

Remember back a while ago we’re all like, Ugh, Newberg.  In fact, Ugh, so many small towns in “liberal” Oregon.

Well, there’s hope.  

The school board might be full of assheads, but the town itself is on it.

I wish them all the luck. 

OH ALSO this kind of cracks me up:

If he decided to fight the recall at the ballot box, he would be required to submit a 200-word explanation for why he should not be recalled

Double Feature date with my wife tonight!

We were second in line for the movie and got the PERFECT spot in the shade before the sun went down.

NOPE is a completely unique experience in a drive in theater. Outside, at night, a full moon, clouds on the screen and BEHIND THE SCREEN!

I highly recommend NOPE, but just like Jordan Peele's other films the less you know going in the better! I will say that it contains blood, vore (sic), and violence from and to animals (almost entirely off screen but them horses make some NOISES)
