783: So how was it?
J: I feel more connected
783: Like how connected?
J: hmm.. like.. I found a new part of myself within the embrace of the Earth. Because whenever I work or eat, I can still see my hands and the ring. And it's just..so dirty maybe I rubbed it too hard haha. But anyway, just by looking at this wherever I am, it feels..very different.
Hey ya’ll
I’m sure you may have noticed I don’t post much on this page anymore. I wanted to give a little update and let everyone know that I have stopped using “CWP” or “Cheering and Waving Press” as the moniker I publish my zines under. When I first started making zines in 2010 I tried out many different names like “For The Birds Press” and “TDGAFAY Publishing”, I landed on “Cheering and Waving Press” for some time, and now I want my zines to be associated with a new moniker. Around 2019 I transitioned to using “New Cult” as the publisher of my zines. New Cult was a pretty cool thing that started when a group of my friends and I decided to try to create new systems of living and being to support each other through the collapse of empire. We also want to create and share our friends DIY music, art and zines. I still make New Hearts New Bones, and I even started and online zine viewing archive during the pandemic (so you can view zines safely at home). I still organize Street Cat Zine Fest, and this year we had an online zine fest to be safe (It’s frozen in time here: https://streetcatzinefest.wixsite.com/sczf4). I hope ya’ll who have enjoyed Cheering and Waving Press over the years will follow me over at my other pages to keep following my work. Thanks for all the great zine trades and support, and here’s to many more (:
