I hope I can meet someone else who has a Newfoundland/Poodle mix so I can compare notes. Tuttle is best described as a standard poodle wearing a Newfoundland dog costume. He's athletic and active (compared to purebred Newfoundland dogs), but doesn't have a curly coat. He's also not double coated; which is both an asset for a clean house and a detriment given where we live. Mostly I just love him a lot. When we adopted him we knew he was a poodle mix of some flavour, but not what with. My family has an affinity for Newfoundland dogs, so when I got his DNA results I was glad it was a breed I knew and loved. His owner who surrendered him said he was "too much" for her. In his shelter picture he looked like a man who'd been turned into a dog and found himself at the SPCA.
