Last month, one of my best friends, Meagan, was on her way up to Dallas and stopped for food at a McDonald's off I-45 and this sweet, LOUD, hungry little kitten came running up to her. She'd been running around the parking lot, meowing, dodging cars, looking for someone to help her. It was due to hit below freezing that night, and she couldn't bear to leave the poor girl, but didn't know what to do as her airbnb wouldn't let her bring her with, and it was already 10pm, so vets and shelters were all closed. So she called me. I was able to arrange for this sweet girl to spend the night at my mom's house in the DFW area, which, due to a combination of circumstances, turned into two weeks! Eventually, we were able to get her back down to me in Houston. We put out some feelers for any lost cats in the area she was found, but no luck, and she doesn't have a microchip, so this sweet girl is officially an HPA foster kitty! Meet Mac, so named for her love for cheeseburgers, which Meagan happily shared with her on their drive to my mom's house. She's a sweet and feisty little lady! And a HUGE thank you to Meagan for picking her up and to my mom for taking care of her until she could get to me!
