She repeated, feeling her stomach opened up to a PIT. The feelings she felt deep within her were terrifying, eventhough she KNEW Light would. . .NEVER do something of THAT nature----the thought scared her to no degree.

Though, if he were to be Kira. . . She’d be heartbroken, hurt, and B E T R A Y E D . Nothing less of those emotions. She’d never be able to believe that her brother, who helped raise her with only amity and peace could. . . ever . . betray their late father’s wishes.

“--Nate? Is that you?” Yagami calls out into the darkness, sitting up from the curled sheets of his bed. In the dead silence, he turns his head to the left; raising his left hand up to itch behind his ear. Eyes strain in the dark, blinking a few times in an attempt to get accustomed to the foreign lighting. It had been a year after his detainment. Nate River had won. However, the younger detective had decided against sentencing Light to death. He differed from the first L in that aspect. Don’t get it wrong, not because he liked him or anything of the sort, merely because Light had been L prior-- and Near needed a little guidance. Perhaps he really did like him.
“Umph--,”
Light lowers his non-scarred hand down and rubs the sleep from his eyes, the hazel, deer-like, innocent orbs casting around the room. He could make out the silhouettes of furniture and a variety of objects, but something stood out. It was far too tall to be Near. How did they get in here? Perhaps it was Matsuda, or someone from the SPK.
Near had made sure all the notebooks were burned. Gone. The Task force and SPK joined in a large building in Japan, assisting and working together as L’s little toys. Light had relinquished ownership of all the notes he owned, rendering him-- not innocent-- but memory-less of the events that occurred so long ago. Everyone-- (the task force and co) knew this man was once Kira, but had to keep it a secret from him, as Near feared he may regain memories and hope to reign over the world once more. It was a priority-- to keep this man clueless. River and Yagami, working as one, as L.
“--What is it? Can I help you?”
Yagami asked, blinking in the figure’s general direction.
The cover-story was questionable, but plausible. Mikami was Kira. He suited the profile given, and had even used self defense in order to make an escape. He died in captivity, after severely wounding Yagami Light. That’s where the bullet holes came into play. Of course, that’s not how events truly went down, but it was good enough for Light to believe. He had to believe it. Mikami was Kira. It was such a relief to be cleared. Light didn’t want to question it as much as he did, but it was fine now. Right?
