L plodded through the crowd of students, thumb pressed to his bottom lip as he read the numbers on the lecture hall door. He may have been looking for a specific room, but what he was really looking for was Kira and he was certain he had found him in Light Yagami.

He had broken the ice with him at commencement, even planned on revealing that he was L, but at the last minute thought better of it. There was plenty of time to reveal himself, once he had gotten closer to his prime suspect.

He peered through the open doors and saw Light sitting with an empty seat next to him. Perhaps it would be easier to get close to him after all. He took the empty spot next to him, leaving his shoes on under his seat and tucking his knees between the edge of the table and his chest. L turned towards Light with wide eyes as he stared at him, not caring if he noticed him or not.

“Yagami-san? Do you remember meeting me?” L’s spoke in quiet tones. “I’m Hideki Ryuga.”

L gets up and steps up to the microphone. He taps it a few times before speaking.

"Today is World Chocolate Day, you may give me various chocolate treats."

"I suppose I can understand why spring is a favorite to most... Doesn't help with my allergies though..."

Sweetest Victory

L had to admit, things have been rather dull after the infamous Kira case closed a month ago. He didn’t mind but he would often wonder if something that extravagant would happen again. It was amusing. 

For now, he was just at a cafe he frequented, enjoying the pastries he liked so much.

Day in and day out, L kept to himself. He preferred it that way: Seeing as how he faked his own death to catch a serial killer. He still looks over everyone but only as this silent overseer. Who else was going to keep order right?

For now he kept his usual hermit-lifestyle and rarely ventured outside unless he had to. Today he was frequenting a bakery to get some sweets so is not to bother Watari too much.
