Boo :(  I’m not sure if that’s the case, we’ve been friends for like... 20 years now and the dynamic between us is... interesting.  I don’t know how to explain it but she does shit like this sometimes and then realizes she’s doing it and tries to super suck up to me so I won’t be angry at her.  I have this thing where I tend to care too much about people and give them the benefit of the doubt.  Like... for whatever reason, she needs to do this, so the most I can do right now is let her do what she needs to do.  Yes, it kind of feels like shit, but it’s easier for me to wait for things to blow over than actually confront them.

I don’t know why I decided to get all introspective there, I really meant to just thank you for your input :P

They had come a long way from a simple pick up in the pub, to this day. The past months with Ryan had been pretty damn amazing. Lola never expected this when she had gone in for an one night stand with this incredible man. She had told him about her profession and for the first time in a while, he hadn’t reacted crazy. They had talked about it however and mainly because of him, she was studying again to see if she could finally do what she really wanted; something in the architecture. Ryan had changed her life for the better.

Lola was bent over her books again on the table in the kitchen and she looked up when she heard Ryan’s footsteps, coming home from his work. Automatically a smile appeared on her lips at the sight of her boyfriend. “Hi,” she said with a smile, although it did disappear pretty quickly at the sight of the nervous look on his face. “Are you okay?”

Ryan did not reply at all, which made Lola even more worried. Without a reply, he suddenly sank down on one knee next to the chair she had been seated on. “Will you marry me?” Lola looked at him quite flabbergasted, not able to say a word because of this surprising and sudden proposal. “Lola?” Ryans voice sounded carefully, realising that he probably should’ve done it differently.

“Lola, will you please say something?” Ryan took her hands in his softly and Lola finally snapped out of her surprised state. She looked at the man sitting on one knee in front of her. Marriage. She had never really thought about it. She was happy with Ryan but she had never imagined them married. But did she want to get married?

“Yes.”
