Welcome to the Summer in the City Playthrough finally! Word of warning, my game did crash a couple of times after playing for a while so I may lower my settings if this becomes an ongoing issue. This world is HEAVILY detailed and LARGE so keep that in mind!
These guys were lucky enough to have one of the higher combined funds so I placed them in a lovely Art Deco home with a pool and beautiful views on a quiet street!
Meet our first household on the playthrough! Xander Clavell, Warren Hadley and Conner Frio!
Xander started the day with a nice swim. Good thing they have that privacy wall around their yard! Meanwhile, Warren enjoyed a good book.
Conner had a nice conversation with Jamie Jolena and then went to save Meadow Carpenter-Rhodes from Don Lothario! Don does NOT look happy!
Rejected! Look at Don’s exasperated face! LOL! He’s looking at Gavin Pinkerton like “Can you believe that guy?” LOL!
Jamie and Lorraine Cantina got cozy on a park bench. And Newton Baker did homework.
And there’s a fire somewhere!
Heather Crosby was just awkwardly standing across the street. I was about to reset her when Romeo Rake showed up and she followed him into the store. Hmm... I wonder what’s up with that!? It did take me a few Sim days to get everything set up so all my little Simmies have been busy getting to know each other!
As evening hit I sent the boys to one of the NUMEROUS hangouts dotted all over this beautiful city! Warren was interested in talking to Lanaya Avilla, but guess who showed up JUST at that time? Don! This guy is EVERYWHERE LOL! Warren did wind up getting the introduction and there was chemistry! But then my game was pulling the error 12...ugh..
I switched households to see if that would clear it. It didn’t, but in the meantime, I caught up to Agnes Crumplebottom at where else...the university bookstore! After the crash I fixed a couple of things I had fixed after my last save and used MC to set Lanaya and Warren to acquaintances bc that was just unfair!! Fingers crossed I don’t have to move worlds, this one is so beautiful!
One breezy morning, Mary insisted that they all have brunch together on the deck. She did not take no for an answer. Lincoln knew something was up right away.
Luckily he did not have to wait long to find out what. The second her butt hit the chair she couldn’t hold it in anymore. She told her sons that she has not taken one vacation day in three years and she feels like she’s gone crazy. She doesn’t see her boys anymore, and from what little she does see of them she knows they don’t make time of each other either. Her heart was feeling more and more broken as time went on, because they didn’t feel like a family some days. So she’d paid for a family vacation to Champs Les Sims and they where going to bridge this gap.
I jumped back into the Clavell household once I got my game running and apparently a LOT of my Sims were not happy with their living situations! About half of my households split up, which is really ok because I’m planning on following one household member per day just to cut down on strain on my game.
Poor Holly Robbins was zombified! And she apparently broke up with Seth Monroe!
Inez Montero and Sherman Bagley were kicked out of their households!
Well that didn’t take long! Like I said, Pauline and Hank ALWAYS break up in my game!
My one and only teen, Newton Lincoln aged up over night!
And there’s a new baby on the way!
On to my played household. The boys are all up late avoiding the zombie apocalypse. Ugh, I need to look up how to turn them off again. Anyway, Xander is just dancing the night away LOL! He’s a funny Sim really.
Meanwhile, Conner has his nose stuck in a book and Warren has discovered a toy chest in the house! Better get to bed soon boys! Two of you have work tomorrow!
Mary Baker decided to take her sons and move away from Twinbrook for a fresh start. At the start of the playthrough Mary is friends with DeAndre Wolfe. The family has a household income of 4,008 Simoleons.

The two brothers decided they needed to get their mom a present. They wanted to thank her for the vacation, which helped them both way more than they thought it would.
Newton decided they where going to buy a Jade vase. Lincoln didn’t like that. After all, almost all the money they where spending was his money. Who’s this guy think he is? One of their heated debates started to bubble to surface, and Lincoln quickly saw a full on fight peaking over the horizon.
“No. No, no, no, not right now. Newton..” Lincoln pleaded, “We are too old to kill each other over a vase.”
“Calm down,” Newton said with a chuckle, “I’m not trying to find out how easy it is to get a lawyer in a foreign country.” Though he shrugged the whole thing off, inside Newton was relieved that for once in their lives... they really didn’t kill each other over something like this.
They had been avoiding each other as usual sense the plane landed... but after a few very stressed hints from their mother, they realized they had to stop being weird and at least grab lunch. Their mom spent her hard earned savings for them to bond and everything, right? Right?
At first it was really awkward. Aside from their general hot and cold reactions to each other, they frankly didn’t have a lot in common. But after settling into their meal, they got the privilege of eavesdropping on a local very rudely break up with her boyfriend. That got them comfortable. It lightened Newton’s mood, anyway, that’s for sure. If Lincoln hadn’t kicked him, he would have filmed the show to take home.
Newton was hard at work hunting for a lost family heirloom. When he first got off the plane, he wasn’t thinking “oh boy! time to search dangerous ruins for a stranger’s dumb trinket.” but upon seeing the job posting in the hotel lobby, well...No one could argue with that reward money. So here he was.
But it wasn’t just him here. For an isolated burial mound way off road, this place was oddly popular. Perhaps it wasn’t so surprising: after all, this is where Newton’s client lost his precious baseball. It couldn’t be that desolate if some schmuck with hundreds of simoleans to burn wound up here...with a baseball. It kind of ruined the “indiana jones” vibe Newton had going for himself to see other tourists poking around, though.
Suddenly, after having his head down for at least an hour combing over the bushes, Newton heard a familiar voice threaten,
“You. did not. see me. You don’t remember seeing my face here. In fact, you’re not even sure what I look like. Got it?”
And when he snapped his head back up, totally bewildered, he had to say he agreed! It took him a hot minute to recognize who was getting tough with him! It was none other than Silver Racket. He stiffly nodded, and she made her exit. If she never said anything at all, he’d never know she was here! SHEESH! Guess that’s where Lolly gets it from...
First day of vacation was not spent recovering from jet lag. Mary dragged Lincoln with her to a wine tasting, why Newton went on to “do his own thing.” Mary thought he meant poke around some shops. Newton had...other things in mind, however.
Poor Mary wished she left Lincoln at the hotel too. It took him all of five minutes to start putting the moves on the cashier. She ended up doing most of tasting by herself, anyway!
