Happy New Year to all!!!
What an awesome way to end 2017, and begin 2018! The bar was heavily-steady the entire night, and the excitement grew more and more tangible with every drink ordered. People danced and mingled, and at midnight, the balloon bags worked as intended, showering New Year’s kisses with gold and black balloons and confetti. The festive touches were perfect for the occasion. (Tip of the top-hat to Brad.) We also held a raffle throughout the night: At 10pm, a Hostel Fish guest won a Hostel Fish t-shirt; at 11pm, the prize was a s$25 bar tab which, in good Karma for the new year, was spent not just on himself, but several friends; and at 12am, one of our bar guests won a free night in the King Suite. Congratulations to all who won, and thank you to everyone who participated!
Each of us have plenty of reasons to reflect on this last year; for better or for worse, a lot goes down in 365 days…we all grow the wiser for it, whether we choose to learn from our experiences and make positive changes, or not. Each New Year is a new opportunity, however, and that can be dang exciting! Harness that opportunity and go out and do something to remember for 2019.,
