anyway,

today i did about 2 hours of yom kippur service (which consists of me solo singing in hebrew) and last year i did a good job, but this year i did more and also knocked it out of the park lmao 

this one guy i know in my congregation, a music teacher & musician himself, came up to tell me that he has been to lots of the big synagogues in NYC and thus has heard a lot of professional cantors, but that my self-taught ass is the best singing and service leading he’s ever heard :’))))))))))
