gas station AU - chapter 4

"... A killer?" "Yes." So far, L has learned many things about Light.

For one, he is an absolute dog. 

The speed at which he jumps to appease the mutts around him is honestly impressive, and a little frightening. Frightening in the sense that, if L looked under the table, he would be worried to find a rather eager hard-on from the boy sitting across him.  L chooses not to look under the table. For Light's sake, of course.

The brunette turns to him. L has a full view of his face this time. His bangs fall just above his chestnut eyes. L jangles the remaining four mints in his palm. For a split second, the boy looks as if L had just aimed a rifle to his forehead then ordered him to dance.

This is insane. This is insanely stupid. This is how people get kidnapped and drugged and then sold off to become a boy toy for the mafia or something. Light's gonna step into that stupid 7-Eleven and see that guy's stupid face only to get hit with a crowbar and then dragged into the back of an unlicensed van. And then they'll turn his obituary into a PSA on stranger danger. Despite this, Light continues to trudge down the sidewalk. If he does end up as a boy toy, at least he'll be a damn good one.
