Okay, while I'm super happy about our week 1 win, I did not like what I saw, especially when I just got done watching the Texans vs Colts game.
Defense let a lot of points get by early on, BUT they did hold them to just 17 points. So, while there is room for improvement, ultimately, we won our game because of special teams and defense. That's a plus for me.
I like that the organization wants our defense to be scary for teams (nostalgia), but from what I saw, we still have a lot of work to do.
Offense...glad to see that y'all still on that bullshit! Especially when y'all (media and fans) had the nerve to blame JF for everything related to our losses last season.
The media and fans(not all, but some) acted as though Caleb was the second coming and were so happy to get rid of Justin Fields. You can be confident, but he has been hella cocky since he declared himself in the draft. So, while it's very, very early in his rookie season and this is only game one, I expected better from his performance. He scrambled a lot, he overthrew a lot, and he wasn't able to adjust. And of course, the O Line still sucked ass and didn't protect him enough imo!
Like I said, I finished the Texans vs Colts game and...even though the Colts lost, that qb they have is dangerous! There defense and o line is crazy.
Our next game is against the Texans...CJ Stroud has gotten better from what I saw. Their defense is bigger and their O Line is wild.
And do not get me started on their coach...he's gonna outcoach Eberflus all four quarters.
It's going to be a battle, but I'm excited for the season.
Hopefully we keep the momentum going and work hard and get as many wins as possible.
