NFWMB by Hozier sounds like the song a God would sing if he fell in love with an atheist.

Kinda in the mood of dying then coming back to life while listening to nfwmb by Hozier
do people ever call you lera?
interesting question. no. but they do call me lela. why? because i couldn't say r until i was like 9 😔
so.. how are we feeling? which songs are you most excited to hear?
Gonna keep it real with you, I saw the post, my brain short circuited and now I will read a text for uni. Didn't even look at the song names hsdvvh we'll see which ones are my favorites tomorrow! I do guess that "'tis the damn season" might be about a woman struggling during the holidays, something like "it is the damn season so why do I feel like this". Just better.
damn no rights for taylor's grandparents huh
fshjksfhsfjsh yeah sorry to these old people i guess
i dont even have the same reason for not liking both songs, like i dont like epiphany bc i take issue with society’s equation of like healthcare workers risquing their lives to save people and do no harm to soldiers participating in armed conflict
whereas i dont like marjorie just bc i dont have that kind of bond with my grandmothers (also theyre both alive) so i cant relate at all lmao like i probably would like it if i did or if it wasnt about her grandmother
Him: I love you.
Me: yeah but what would you do if you were born as a blackthorn tree?
Him: what?!!
Me: * walks away whilst setting everything on fire and never looks back*
oh, to sit outside and feel the wind while it rains, and listen to the gentle and soft and crude and dark and perfect crooning that is hozier singing how nothing fucks with his baby, and feel warm shivers travel down my spine even in the cold when I focus on how the music sounds when he says fucks and baby and nothin'
tell me how I'm supposed to not fall in love with his songs when he sings things like these-
"If I was born as a blackthorn tree,
I'd wanna be felled by you, held by you
Fuel the pyre of your enemies"
If I was born as a black thorn tree
I'd wanna be felt by you, held by you
Feel the power of your hand on me
