Comet Shaped Cluster
The Flickering Globular, M62 // Ian Parr
M62 is an irregularly-shaped, quite dense globular cluster only about 21,500 light years away. This is one of the ten most massive and luminous globular clusters in the Milky Way, and is relatively metal-rich. It appears that there are two populations of stars in this cluster: one metal-poor and the other metal-rich, contaminated by the materials released from the former.
