Stott Hall Farm, on the border between Lancashire and Yorkshire, is a 300 year old farm sandwiched between the two carriageways of the M62, the highest motorway in Britain, as it runs across the Pennines. The house wasn't spared because of a land dispute, but because the geology of the area meant the carriageways had to be split at that point.
