NGC 6352, C81 // AnaTa
Located about 18,300 light years from the Sun, NGC 6352 is a loose globular cluster in the constellation of Ara, the Altar. It was discovered by Scottish astronomer James Dunlop (1793-1848) in 1826. It is relatively old at about 12.7 billion years of age, but it is also relatively metal-rich (although in this case it still only has about 20% the metals of the Sun). It is best seen during the winter in the southern hemisphere.
