Tetela axe, XIXth century. (Acquired by Dr. Briart on May, 21, 1891) This axe was bought in-situ on Thursday, May 21 in 1891, on the way between Ngandu and Gongé Mulanda by Dr. Paul Briart during the Expedition Alexandre Delcommune to Katanga (1891-1893). Acquired from Batetela people, 4 days walk South of Ngandu where they were received (on May, 2) by the famous King Ngongo-Lutete.
