What happens after the last scene of 2x12, afterValentine took over Magnus’ body.
‘Magnus, Iam so sorry… For everything you had to go through.’ Alec’s voice breaks the uncomfortablesilence. He just finished cleaning up the last pieces of glass when Magnuswalked into the room and Alec’s worry only grows bigger seeing the distressedlook on his face.
‘That agonyrune…’ Magnus starts after he sat himself down on his sofa, looking like thewhole scene is played out again before his eyes. ‘It made me relive memories I’vespent centuries trying to forget.’
Alec sighswhen he sits himself beside the warlock, feeling quite desperate getting toknow this new side of Magnus. One of the strongest men he knows is broken rightnow. And he had no idea how to make this better.
‘Magnus,tell me how to fix this…’ He begs him, searching for a sign of hope in his boyfriendsfeatures. ‘Just tell me what to do, please.’
But Magnusstays silent. He has never seen him like this. And it scares Alec more than he ever thought it would. Especially because in the end, some of it is his own damn fault…
‘I’m sosorry I didn’t believe you… I should’ve known when you told me about omamori charmand –’
‘Alexander,no… You had all the right not to believe me. It’s Valentine we’re talking ab—’
‘There wasno way he could’ve known these things, Magnus. I should’ve realized somethingwas off. I should’ve realized it when I came to see you here. And I didn’t. It’smy fault you…’
‘It’s NOTyour fault!’ Magnus raises his voice suddenly, making Alec stop his uncomfortableramble. ‘I don’t blame you anything, Alexander. It’s Azazel that tricked us all.He even tricked Valentine.’
The thoughtof Azazel makes Alec even more angry than he already is about the situation.That’s the only good decision he made today.
‘I’m glad Ikilled him…’ He mutters softly.
‘I heardyou did.’
‘He attackedyou. Or Valentine… Anyway, I thought it was you.’
Magnusgives him a weak smile. ‘Thank you for that. Even though I wasn’t really there.’
Then there’sanother silence and it feels like it stands there like a wall between them. AndAlec hates them all. He hates Azazel. He hates Valentine. And he hates everysingle creature who ever did hurt or still would hurt his Magnus. He couldn’tthink of anything more painful than seeing Magnus sitting here in front of him,broken and scarred with more than Alec will ever be able to imagine.
And that’swhere his hand slowly but surely searches for Magnus’ hand. And when they findeach other, Alec gives it a loving squeeze. ‘I know you are hurting. And I’mgoing to be here. Whenever you need me. If you want to talk, I’m going tolisten. If you want to say nothing, I’m going to hold your hand. And if youwant space, I’m going to give you your space. But just know I’m not going toleave you with this, Magnus. I’m going to be here for you, if you like it ornot.’
His wordsmake Magnus look up at him and it’s the first time their eyes actually meetsince Magnus entered the room. And when their gazes cross, Alec realizes onceagain this is not going to be easy. But he’s going to do whatever it takes tomake Magnus’ eyes happy again.
‘I’ve beenthrough many episodes like this in my existence, Alexander.’ Magnus startssoftly, their hands still strangled together. ‘But it’s the first time I’mdoing this with you. And even now you already did more good than you’ll everbe able to understand.’
And withthat, with just a loving look and a holding hand, they both know they’re goingto get through this.

NOTE: I’m so sorry it took me so long to make this for you! I have to admit I kinda forgot. I also found this one really hard to do… I don’t know why. I’m even not entirely happy with it… But oh well.
