Byungho "Baby" Song has always been used to being the odd one out. Not in a social outcast way, but a he's-been-having-visions-since-he-was-four-his-parents-are-hippies-who-won't-use-modern-technology-his-name-is-baby sort of way. 

But when Scott McCall comes to him, and his boyfriend turns into a lizard, and his mortal enemy suddenly becomes the person who understands him the most, he realizes he might not be as odd as he thought.

oliver patterson in “simple things”:

oliver just wants a simple life, but he’s stuck with in betweens. he’s not the greatest runner on the track team (that would be his best friend, archer) but he’s pretty good. he’s not the smartest guy in the world, but he knows just enough to get by. he’s not even actually dating the guy he’s dating.

but when theo raeken comes to town and brings evil doctors who turned innocent kids into horror movie monsters, he knows he has to get in the middle. even if it means life isn’t so simple anymore.

introducing the jackson pack!!

kelvin jackson, born wolf, did not plan to become an alpha. but things happen, sometimes you have to mercy kill your twin brother, you know how it goes. after becoming alpha, he fled his hometown and ended up in beacon hills where he met calum.

calum zhang didn’t realize he was a witch until he was 26 and noticed that not everyone can magically find things like he can. he married kelvin three years after that, and even though he knows about the supernatural community, and is a part of it himself, it’s still taking some adjusting. he still hasn’t decided if adopting three wolf kids is helping or harming the situation.

archer madison was set to become an olympic track star until she got bit by some asshole werewolf who left her to die. thankfully kelvin found her on a midnight jog or she would’ve been toast. now, she just has to deal with the insanity that is beacon hills and take down her mortal enemy, hayden romero, once and for all.

matthew peters has been a wolf for his entire life but he still can’t manage to do some things, like masking his scent and keeping his eyes from glowing when he was excited. and with his huge crush on whitney (and his less huge crush on her friend liam) he really needed to get those things on lock before he embarrassed himself.

whitney cooke is the newest addition to the pack, but she probably has the best grasp on the whole werewolf thing, which is probably why kelvin and calum keep putting her in charge. it would be fine if she didn’t have bigger things to worry about like the newly turned liam dunbar, and how many ap classes she would be forced to take.

"You're insane, Olly," Archer grunted.

She was draped over his shoulder, as they walked through the tunnel. Tracy had knicked her in the side with her claws. Well, knicked was putting it lightly, really. She'd dug her claws into her skin, burying them, until Arch collapsed. So, now she was paralyzed and Oliver was trying to get them back above ground.

How was this his life?

He scoffed. "I think it was a perfectly reasonable action," he argued.

Archer laughed. "You think attempted murder was a reasonable reaction?"

Rolling his eyes, he replied, "That was not attempted murder."

"Trying to strangle someone usually counts as attempted murder," she pointed out and he shrugged.

"Yeah, well, Theo is an actual murderer, so he deserved it."

growing up in beacon hills, you’ve always heard about the family that lives in the woods. the hales. always heard of, but never seen.

when you can work up the nerve, you bring them up. mention that you’ve seen the younger son, derek, and his uncle—peter maybe?—at the high school and they seem nice, and someone, your grandfather, tells you that they rebuilt the town from the ground up, but they’re secluded and that’s how it’s always been. the smiling matriarch, talia, and her three—no, four—kids and no father in sight, just sitting there on the outskirts. your grandfather tells you they used to live on the road. like nomads, he says. like outlaws, you think.

and you wonder about those lonely people in that grand, wooden home, who are so powerful they can build an entire town, but they refuse to live in it.

what are they hiding from? or are they staying away to protect the town? from what?

it doesn’t matter anyway, you find out. the place goes up in flames and they all die, except the youngest son. but then he leaves and you forget about them eventually.

bellamy byun in “monstosity”:

bellamy had been fighting against evil since the day he was born. as a half demon, he’d been destined for darkness, or so he’d been taught. so far life wasn’t as dark as people told him it would be. he wasn’t dealing with the flames of hell burning him up from the inside or evil voices in his head.

at least until theo raeken moved back to beacon hills and bellamy’s sense of right and wrong got put to the test.
