Last week, The Duchess of Cambridge joined pupils at Nower Hill High School in Harrow for a science lesson focused on brain development in the first five years of life, delivered as part of the SEEN project. SEEN (Secondary Education around Early Neurodevelopment) is a research project run by Oxford University that looks to embed the key principles of early childhood development and neuroscience in Key Stage 3 students. The new content, delivered as a series of three lessons, has been taught to over 3,700 11 to 14-year-olds across 21 schools in the initial pilot. Very positive feedback has been received so far with 100% of teachers and 91% of pupils saying that the SEEN curriculum should be taught to other pupils of the same age. Following the school visit, The Duchess met with Academy Heads at Buckingham Palace where they were briefed on the results of the pilot and provided input into ways in which this could be rolled out more widely.

Alongside her UFO trousers, the Duchess also wore her Gianvito Rossi navy heels and her Anderson’s croc-effect belt. For a final touch, Catherine wore her Daniella Draper Luxury Maxi ‘Cupid’ hoop earrings
