i recieved this ask last night, and i was so floored i didn’t know how to respond to it. i’m sorry, but if me posting things you don’t like on my own blog makes you uncomfortable, then please don’t follow me. and for the record, i won’t stop with the black lives matter posts; because guess what? black lives matter. i understand that being flooded with negative news updates from all angles online makes people uncomfortable; but you should understand that poc are flooded with negativity (at the very least) from all angles in real life. in a sport as, for lack of a better term, “white” as hockey, there needs to be more accountability; not only for the uneducated players but for the uneducated fans as well. if me reblogging two blm posts makes you uncomfortable, i strongly suggest you educate yourself on what the blm movement truly represents. i sincerely hope that one day you too can understand the severity of the situation that america is in right now.
