Once I'd put on a pair of blue jeans, a white t-shirt, and a grey cardi and he'd put his clothes from the other night back on I pulled him down the stairs and we put on our coats and headed out. We ambled down the street aimlessly and crunched some of the nearly melted ice; it was unseasonably warm for late January. We didn't know where we were going so we walked in and out of record stores and vintage clothes shops, bought pasties from Hampsons and sat in the park, then we went to do a whole load of touristy things like the London Eye. Eventually we were too cold and wet to stay out any longer so we headed back to the house. When we got there I saw lights on in the living room and the shadow of two figures on the sofa... "Hello!" I called out when we walked in and David's voice floated in from the living room, "Hello, Daisy... Can you come in here?" Alex and I walked into the living room together and there I saw the tall, slim figure of a certain Eugene McGuinness. "Hi Euge..." "Err, Alex, do you want to come and help me with err man stuff and err..." "Yeah... err... yeah..." "I'm so sorry, Daisy! I love you so much, I can't bel- I mean I didn- I don't even know! All I know is that I was stupid and then this morning Poppy tried to join me and it was horrible and I don't want her. I want you! I want you and your stupid habits. I want you to dance your socks off like a mad woman and I want to dance with you. I want to wake up to your face again and I want to be able to run my fingers through your hair. I know we weren't together that long but I love you. I love you so much. I love you like I've never loved anyone, my heart hurts with the love I have for you. Whenever I think about you I feel sick and giddy and excited and warm and so many other things but now I feel hurt because I know I fucked things up between us." A few tears rolled down his cheek and I wiped them away with my thumb, "Don't cry, darling. Things may not be the same as they were just yet but you've shown me you love me and the fact you're so upset about it makes me think that you may just be more hurt than me... I don't know what else to say so I'm going to kiss you now." "Please do."
