After his conversation with Rebekah, his so called employer, Sahir decided to take a step back. More and more people were entering the room and he found it wise for a moment to simply observe. It was interesting to see that most seemed to be taking to their characters in good fun; more than he would have suspected. Then again, if you’d asked Sahir a few months ago if he’d be interested in such a thing he would have told you there was no way he’d have the time.
Catching the eye of a familiar woman he had to swallow a hard lump. His conversation with Niamh had been weeks ago and brief at that. He’d never admit out loud that he’d been avoiding her, but.... It just never seemed like the right time. Sipping gingerly from a class of whiskey he took a deep breath before heading towards her. At least now he’d have the excuse of his character and the party. “You look gorgeous, but I don’t believe we’ve met before, Ms...?”
