I’ve been super busy with school, a little stressed and very tired.
I have been doing a lot better with school overall and I feel like I’m on top of my life this year haha !!!

These are some sketches I’ve done in the past week or so. The first picture is from the museum of Natural Sciences where they have taxadermy on display and the second is from Croquis Cafe’s YouTube channel. (They are a very good resource if you are looking for figure drawing references on line.)
I can never seem to get any thing finished and look like a complete page in my sketchbook, but to help out with the feeling of just floating from one doodle to the next I watch YouTube channels about art and how to fill your sketchbook.
Minnie Small is one channel that I really enjoy. She has a great sketchbook and makes inventive videos on ways to fill up your sketchbook. She also has videos on how to get out of art ruts and how to get your motivation back. These videos in particular have been really helpful for me.

08.18.2017 I went to brunch for my sister birthday and ate so much!!! The french toast was delicious and the egg cheesy grits were pretty great too!! These last few weeks of summer for me have been dedicated to becoming more social. I think a lot of the troubles I had last school year came from my anxiety, closing myself off and neglecting the social aspect of school. Now don't get me wrong I'm not going to be come a party animal or anything, but I will try to eat lunch with other people and hang out and do homework together.
