In Defense of Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated

Am I the only one that enjoyed this series? The animation was good. The story line was good. Sure it got dark quick but it was the first series to try that formula. It was amazing it even touched on the gang’s families. That was also a first in the series. It was different to see that the gang’s families didn’t approve of their mystery solving (minus Angie later on for reasons).

Yes this series was dark but it did so many new things. It tore the gang apart at the last part of season 1. Instead of throwing them together again and pretending that they are okay; it takes a while for the gang to really become a team again.

I love this series for different reasons. It wasn’t afraid to get real. And it was Casey Kasem’s last performance with the Scooby gang. Honestly he went out with a bang with this series. Other people might disagree but I have a lot of good points here. Just one more before I finish.

This series was the last Scooby Doo series that my Mom and I watched together. I miss her so. Because of her, I was able to get into Scooby Doo. It is because of her I wrote this post. Top of the world Mom. I miss you so much. Especially today.
