Cherry Burr Bowl by Nic Webb
Nic Webb | artist maker of spoons ‘I love to work with green wood (fresh living wood) because of its malleability. It can twist and move in the process of seasoning, creating wonderful natural surprises. It allows great freedom in my making and designs can evolve from the unique nature of every piece of wood I choose.’ ‘The woods I use come from many sources. I am particularly keen on British deciduous woods as I spent my childhood in Suffolk surrounded by woodland. I enjoy walking and use these trips to collect my wood from all over the UK. I have close working relationships with local tree surgeons from whom I receive timber from the many parks and gardens of London.’
