Well, I finally did it.
I’ve been planning this for over 2.5 years now. In 2024 I couldn’t justify the expense. Then I never found the time to do the research.
My last (and first) pair of noise canceling headphones - other than AirPods - I bought when I worked in Chicago. Correction, my company credit card bought those. And just like all the booze I would buy, the OM had me keep it under $200.
Those Sennheiser HD 450BT cans were super hot, on the ear (not over), and the foam pads ripped up quick. I only recall wearing them on a plane once or twice. I should’ve replaced them years ago.
I’ve been working off of a cheap $17 pair of JVC earbuds I bought at MSP about 1.5 years ago. Well, those are now toast.
So I did a thing, because I’m worth it.
My new travel accessory, and I got my favorite Midnight Blue color as well. Plus on sale!
No more weekend flights with families and the kids saying, “mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy”- until she grits through her teeth, “ask your father”.
Just peace and quiet and no more engine noise.
