Communiqué from the International Freedom Battalion on the Nice attacks of July 14th

Once again innocent blood has been spilled. Once again the fanatics of ISIS chose to target unarmed women, men, and children. We do not know right now exactly how many have died, but this is not the point. The point is, despite it’s arsenal of repressive laws, the state failed to prevent the massacre.

We must not misunderstand the attack in Nice. Although they can still attack civilians, the are retreating on all fronts faced with the armed resistance of the people. They lost in Sheddadi, they are losing now in Manbij, we are now 50 kilometres from Raqqa : the Islamic State is almost defeated!

It’s not only necessary to join us here in the armed struggle. In France you must fight ISIS and its death-cult ideology. It is also necessary to refuse to line up behind this moribund government who will use this opportunity to once again call for national unity. National unity behind, Hollande, Sarkozy, Le Pen or Gattaz is unthinkable! This not a time for national unity and mourning, this is for action.
