Nicholas Lennox (Ramin Karimloo) is looking for their ex-fiance.
WANTED CONNECTION: Ex-fiancé(e)
FOR CHARACTER(S): Nicholas Lennox
REQUIREMENTS: Any gender born between 1982-1984
SUGGESTED FCS: UTP as long as they fit in the age range!
SPOTS OPEN: 1
CONNECTION DETAILS: These two would have met in early 2016 (around January-March, just after the birth of Nick’s son) and began dating not too long after (I’m imagining something in between a slight slowburn and something quicker, but we can work out specific details!) They became engaged in late 2018 (anywhere from October-December) and planned to marry at some point in 2019. However, a few months before the wedding, Nick made the choice to leave Fayetteville (Arkansas, to clarify, because I know there’s a few of them!) because he essentially wasn’t sure if marriage was suited for him; he ended up moving himself and his son to Merrock, all while leaving a Post-it on the kitchen counter (which he does immensely regret doing.) Since then, they’ve avoided romantic relationships at all costs and are simply trying to live their life and move on. Your muse can just be moving to/returning to Merrock and can be in whatever career/have whatever personality/etc!
family: Edward and Sharon Lennox (adoptive parents), Olivia Lennox-Barraza (adoptive older sister), Daniel Barraza (brother-in-law) Parker Lennox (son), Madelyn Barraza (niece)
relationship status: Single
personality
Nick is a generally tenderhearted and polite individual, and isn’t one to be arrogant or boastful about anything he’d done. However, they have a tendency to be noncommittal towards things and a bit flighty (in other words, he isn’t really the type of person who would like intimate/romantic relationships.) This is true regarding their interpersonal relationships (which they’re trying their best to fix.) He has a soft spot for his employees and those who frequent his bakery, and is the type to always try new things when it comes to the bakery as well.
+ innovative, courteous, humble, ambitious, good-natured
- noncommittal, avoidant, apathetic, scatterbrained, anxious

full biography / background
triggering / sensitive content warning: teen pregnancy, car accident, sibling death.
Nicholas Kian Lennox was born on July 23rd, 1983 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to two Iranian teenagers who were most definitely not wanting to raise a child. Hours after he was born, he was surrendered to hospital staff and subsequently placed in foster care, where he stayed for the first six months of his life before being adopted by the only parents he’s ever known, Edward and Sharon Lennox. From that point on, Nick was raised by the Lennoxes in Hot Springs alongside the couple’s biological daughter, Olivia, who was two years older than him. The two grew up particularly close, with Nick looking up to their older sister in numerous ways. He also did decently well in school and had a solid number of friends.
After high school, they attended the University of Arkansas, majoring in General Business with the hopes of opening their own business in the future. He stayed in Fayetteville even after graduating, opting to pick up odd jobs to make a living while he rented a studio apartment for the time being. After a while, they eventually had enough to purchase a struggling bakery from an owner who was considering closing it. He ran the bakery for a while, racking up a lot of profit from it.
At this point in their life, they also met a woman whom they befriended and became close to. However, neither of them really wanted an actual relationship, so they remained friends with benefits for a while, and stayed that way for years until she revealed to him that she was pregnant. After the birth of their son, Parker, in December 2015, she relinquished parental rights and moved out of Fayetteville, leaving Nick to be the sole guardian of the baby. Two months earlier, Olivia had a baby with her husband in California as well, a girl they named Madelyn (who would be nicknamed Maddy), so Nick knew they could always go to her if they needed advice. It was rough at first, but he got through it and has an excellent relationship with Parker to this day.
Not long after Parker’s birth, Nick met someone else whom they became genuinely infatuated with. The two ended up dating for years and became engaged in late 2018, with plans to marry the following year. However, he realized a few months before the wedding that he didn’t want this kind of life. Frankly, they weren’t sure what they wanted, so they left a Post-it note on the kitchen counter explaining their feelings and took themself, Parker, and their belongings out of Arkansas and to a thousand miles away in Merrock, a small town in Maine, where they bought Flour Co. off of its previous owner and have been running it ever since.
To say Olivia gave him hell for his decision to leave would be a massive understatement. They didn’t know what they were thinking, practically ghosting their ex and leaving without so much as a verbal goodbye, but they hadn’t expected their sister to chew them out for it. In her defense, though, she really did like Nick’s ex and was ecstatic about the wedding that was supposed to happen, and definitely didn’t like that her brother basically ghosted them, so he could understand her anger. The siblings went no-contact after that, which made things incredibly awkward at family gatherings, but they didn’t need to speak to each other after those events had passed.
One night in November 2025, Nick received a call from a social worker in California, explaining that Olivia and her husband had been killed in a car accident, and while Maddy hadn’t been with them at the time, she needed somewhere to go. Nick was devastated, and, wanting to do something good to make up for the falling out, offered to have the girl stay with them and for them to be her legal guardian. Days later, Maddy was moving in with him, and though she was resentful towards the situation as a whole and particularly wary of him, he knew he was doing the right thing, or at least he hoped he was. While their relationship has improved since, Nick genuinely wants to start doing better things both for the sake of their children and for others too.
