Can I please request a Nick Fowler x fem!civilian reader where she’s at the wrong place at the wrong time and witnesses a crime that him and his men are committing and they take her hostage and originally plan to get rid of her because she’s seen too much and honestly his men are completely ready to follow through (they’re the ones who found her), but in her fear/nervousness she can’t help the sarcastic jokes and rambling that keep flying out of her mouth, to the point where honestly Nick is so amused by her and thinks she’s hilarious, and the two of them have clear chemistry and flirtation that neither can deny, so he decides to spare her and instead offer a deal (similar to the one he gave Mace, just without the spy stuff), asking her to join him and be with him (and unlike Mace, she happily agrees) *Cue Nick spoiling Y/n, giving her a life of luxury, and them falling In love🤧*
Sorry this took time, but I do hope it was worth the wait and you like it.
Warning- Goons, metion of a body(nothing graphic or in details), fluff.
It had been a long day at work for you, and all you wanted was a night of comfort and relaxation. You picked up a bottle of water and a snack from a convenience store, and put on your earbuds, tuning out the world around you as you made your way to the registers to pay.
As you were leaving, you glanced down the alleyway towards the nearest exit.
The sound of someone grunting and moaning caught your attention. You hadn’t expected to step out into an alleyway crime scene. If only you had turned on your ear buds, you could have totally ignored this. But no!
So here you are.
The warehouse was dimly lit, and you could faintly hear the hum of the streetlights outside. The air was filled with the stench of gas and something else that smelled far worse. You had taken a step when you noticed five men, heavily armed and dressed in dark clothes. Their expressions were cold and devoid of any hint of mercy, and one of the men was dragging an unconscious body towards a black SUV.
You didn’t mean to gasp, but you did. And that was all it took.
A rough hand clamped over your mouth, stifling any scream that was trying to escape your lips. Before you could make a sound, a man with cold, lethal eyes and a face that looked like a skull of bones pushed you up against a hard wall. You found yourself staring at him.
“What do we do with her?” One of the men hissed out.
“She saw too much!” another man growled.
The rational part of your brain was telling you to stay silent, but the fear you were feeling sent your mouth to speak out of instinct.
“Oh great,” you blurted out, the sarcastic words spewing from your lips like a torrent. “Yeah, totally fine. You guys go ahead. I'll just, you know, erase this from my memory using tazer... Pjust zap me…maybe? oh wait, you don't have that, do you? Fantastic!”
Silence.
“Great, I’m going to die! They are not even good looking.” You thought to yourself.
The men looked at each other, a few seemed ready to shoot you to shut you up, while one man was rummaging around in his jacket to pull out his weapon. A voice cut through the tense atmosphere like a knife. It was deep, smooth, and held a hint of amusement.
“Hold on.”
Nick Fowler.
You knew nothing about Nick, just whispers, rumors. Everyone knew he was a dangerous man, someone to be avoided. His reputation was enough to make even the most hardened criminals shiver.
And yet, as he stood there, head tilted slightly, he couldn't help but find amusement in your situation. He seemed almost entertained by the fact that you had seen him in such an exposed position.
“He’s hot!” You thought.
“What’s your name?” Nick asked.
“Uh…” Your brain short-circuited. “Y/n.”
Nick’s smirk turned into a low chuckle. “Cute.” He turned to his men. “Let her go.”
“What?” The one holding you looked confused. “Boss, she saw everything.”
Nick's dark eyes studied you closely, his expression unreadable. After a moment, he gave a slight shrug, as if he had just reached a conclusion. “Yeah, you heard right,” he replied, his voice low and smooth. “She’s definitely the most entertaining thing I have come across all week.”
You couldn't help but speak up, a small smirk on your face. “Damn, man,” you said, your voice dripping with sarcasm. “You really need to get out more.”
Nick chuckled with a low, rumbling sound deep in his chest. He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. “Sweetheart,” he began, “tell me, what would you do if presented with a choice?”
You replied, your voice laced with a hint of curiosity. “A choice?”
His eyes narrowed as he continued. “You could disappear, vanish into thin air, never to be seen again... or you can choose an alternative.” His voice was laced with a dangerous tone as he issued the last option. “Be. Mine.”
You swallowed hard. The smart thing to do would be to run, to never look back. But the way he was looking at you, like you were something new, something he wanted, sent a thrill through you.
And really, what did you have to go back to?
You smiled, “Well, since you put it like that…”
“What could possibly go wrong? He’ll get bored of me and let me go…” You thought again.
Oh how wrong you were.
Nick Fowler was an enigma in more ways than one. One moment you were barely managing to pay rent, and the next, you found yourself draped in the silks of the wealthiest and wearing the most luxurious of clothes, sipping champagne with an impressive view outside the penthouse suite. You had everything a person could wish for...
Nick spoiled you like a king would spoil his favorite concubine. He showered you with gifts, made sure you wanted for nothing.
Nick was an intriguing man, and he quickly learned that you weren't one who could be bought off. The luxurious lifestyle, the opulent gifts, the lavish cars, none of it had the power to win you over, and he was determined to figure out what did.
He was clever, charismatic, and observant, and soon he discovered that it wasn't the gifts or material items that were drawing you to him.
You couldn't deny it, deep down. You had grown fond of Nick, and he wasn't the type of man you thought suited you. He listened intently, remembered details that other people would overlook, and challenged you, but never tried to control you.
The longer you spent time with him, the harder it became to resist the growing feelings of affection. His charisma and charm were only intensified further by his actions. It had taken time, and you had fallen for him despite your initial reservations.
And how had Nick Fowler, fallen for you?
You pushed his buttons without hesitation. Where even his loyal men, would not question him, you did it like he's your childhood friend. From questions about his life to his life choices. From his profession to personal life. You even did a little dance in secret when he said he's single. You even questioned him about his weapons.
Where Nick was more of a less speaker, you were a complete chatter box. And that stole his heart.
He was dangerous, sure, but with you, he was different. Protective. Teasing. Almost soft in a way you doubted anyone else ever got to see. And the chemistry between you? Electric. He challenged you, you challenged him, and somehow, in the chaos of it all, you fit.
“Regrets?” he asked one night, pulling you onto his lap as you lounged by the fireplace.
You smirked, twirling the expensive ring he’d slid onto your finger a few days ago. “Only that I didn’t say yes sooner.”
He chuckled, pressing a kiss to your temple. “Good girl.”
And just like that, you realized you were exactly where you were meant to be.
Hii! Can Platonic dad! Nick x 10year old daughter where the last time he saw her she was two years old. Her Mom was also a CIA agent found out Nick is a corrupt CIA agent along with their boss and many other agents, and didn’t want their daughter to be around that so she quit her job and took their daughter and ran. Elijah found out what Y/n’s Mom knows and he goes after her and kills her, leaving her being sent to an orphanage 🥺 Years later, after Nick fakes his death and Mace realizes he’s alive and that he’s a corrupt agent and a criminal working for Elijah, a mob boss, Mace does some digging into Nick and finds out about his ex wife and find out she left and then died and that their daughter, now 10 years old, is currently in an orphanage so she goes their to get her and use her against Nick. She brings her to Li Mi Sheng’s apartment (where the women all hid out after their first confrontation with Nick, when they stole the drive) and has her stay back in the bedroom hidden. When Nick and his men show up guns blazing, he like on the movie, he executes Lin’s father and his men executes Marie’s mentor and Khadijah’s bf, and he’s yelling about the drive, that’s when Mace runs to drag Y/n out into the room and says that this is his daughter and she’ll hit her if Nick keeps killing all the woman’s loved ones🥺 He’d get so scared for his baby, but Mace wouldn’t actually hurt a child🥺 He’d put his weapon away and tell his men to stand down, and she’d shove Y/n over to her Dad🥺 He’d have one of his men bring her to his car to keep her safe and have her wait there, she’d be so scared and wouldn’t want to leave her Dad even though she doesn’t remember much about him🥺 Nick would definitely tell the women that this isn’t over and they went too far bringing his daughter into this. He’d bring her to his hotel room to keep her safe while he goes out to finish going after the women. When he wins he comes back an Y/n is gone, Elijah took her🥺 He goes to confront him both for beating him up, killing his ex wife, and for taking his little girl🥺 Y/n would scream and cover her ears when her Dad offs Elijah 🥺 After that he moves her into his house and they bond as father daughter 🥺 So she’d be there when Mace and the others come back after him to drug him and get him arrested but she begs them not to take her Daddy away 🥺

Your mom was just a regular CIA agent when she met your dad. She had no idea that Nick was a corrupt CIA agent at the time. She was too in love with him to see that. They ended up getting married and having you. They did everything they could to keep you out of the light of the CIA. Your parents had a great relationship, but all of that went south when your mom found out that your dad is a corrupt CIA agent. That took a toll on their relationship. They couldn’t back from that. They tried to keep it together for your sake, which was hard for them to do. Your mom couldn’t take it anymore. She can’t be with someone who never told her who he actually is.
“I can’t do this anymore, Nick!” Your mom says, trying not to yell so she doesn’t accidentally wake you up.
“Neither can I!” Nick says.
In that moment, they agreed that they thought it would be best for them to get a divorce. They contacted a divorce lawyer the next day and everything got moving quickly. Before they knew it, they were in the divorce lawyer’s office signing divorce papers.
“Just because we’re divorced now, doesn’t mean that I’m going to take our daughter away from you. You can see her anytime you want. I’m not going to fight you for custody.” Your mom says.
“That sounds good to me.” Nick says.
After your parents got divorced, your mom quit her job as a CIA agent and moved with you. She gave Nick yours and hers new address. You two live in a small apartment not too far away from Nick.
Nick did come visit you when he could. He tried to visit you. He wanted to see you, but he got too caught up with work to do so. Your mom’s heart broke for you. She wanted you to have your dad in your life.
One day, your mom saw black SUVs pull into the parking lot of the apartment complex you two live in. Your mom knows those SUVs all too well. It’s Elijah. She picked you up and quickly took you to your bedroom and hides you in your closet, which confused you, but you didn’t question what she was doing.
“Stay in here. Ok, sweetie?” Your mom says.
“Ok, mommy.” You say.
Elijah knocks on the door to yours and your mom’s apartment at the same time she closed your bedroom door. She didn’t want to answer the door, but she didn’t have a choice. Elijah and a couple of his men barged into the apartment as soon as she opened the door.
“I didn’t say that you guys can come inside.” Your mom says.
“You lost that right when you quit.” Elijah says.
Your mom huffs exasperatedly and closes the door.
“How did you find me?” Your mom asks.
“I did my research.” Elijah says. “Why did you quit after you and Nick got divorced?” He asks.
“I did what I had to do to protect my daughter.” She says.
“That’s the most ridiculous excuse I’ve ever heard.” He says.
“It’s not an excuse. I will do everything I can to protect my child. So would Nick.” She says.
“Do you see him here?” He sarcastically asks.
“I don’t care to know where he is. All I care about is my daughter’s safety. So, if you’re here to ask me to come back to the agency, you can forget about it, because I’m not coming back.” She says.
Elijah hums and nods. Then he motions at one of his men and whispers something to him that your mom couldn’t make out. The employee nods and pulls a gun out on your mom. Your mom’s blood runs cold and she puts her hands up in surrender.
“Please don’t do this! I have a daughter!” Your mom exclaims.
“Then come back to the agency. I can reinstate your job before a blink of an eye.” Elijah says.
“I already told you that I’m not coming back.” She says.
“Alright then.” He says.
Elijah snaps his fingers at his employee and he shoots your mom right in her heart. Your mom gasps loudly and falls to the floor, her body making a thudding sound when she hit the floor. Elijah walks over to your mom and crouches down next to her.
“All of this could’ve been avoided, but it looks like you wanted to do things the hard way and suffered the consequences. Now, yours and Nick’s daughter has to grow up without you in her life.” Elijah says.
Elijah and his men left yours and your mom’s apartment without saying another word and leaving your mom to bleed out on the floor with you in your bedroom closet. In your mom’s final moments, she cried as she bled out on the floor. She cried, knowing that she’s never going to see you grow up and she’s never going to see you again.
8 YEARS LATER…
After your mom was killed by Elijah, you were immediately placed in foster care. Nick has no idea what happened to your mom and he also doesn’t know that you’ve been in foster care for the past 8 years. Speaking of your dad, he never changed his ways. He’s still a corrupt CIA agent. Mace had just found out that Nick faked his death. She knows that she has to do something to get back at him that. So, when she regrouped with the girls, she got on her laptop and did a deep dive into Nick’s history.
“Are you going to tell us what you’re looking for?” Marie asks.
“I’m doing a deep dive search on Nick’s history.” Mace says.
“Why?” Khadijah asks.
“So we can hit him where it hurts.” Mace says.
In that moment, Mace found out something about Nick that she never knew.
“Nick has a 10 year old daughter who’s been in foster care since her mom died, which was 8 years ago.” Mace reads aloud.
A grin grows onto Mace’s face when an idea popped into her head.
“Are you suggesting what I think you’re suggesting?” Graciela asks.
“Yes.” Mace says.
“No, absolutely not! We are not going to kidnap Nick’s daughter! There has to be another way to get back at him!” Graciela says.
“It’s the only way to keep Nick from getting his hands on the drive and killing us.” Mace says.
As much as Graciela doesn’t want to go through with Mace’s plan, it looks like there is no other way.
“Ok. Fine.” Graciela says.
Mace found what foster care facility you’re at before her and the girls started the plan. When they got there, you were sitting outside on a bench reading a book. You looked up from your book when someone sat down next to you. It was Mace.
“Can I help you?” You asked.
“No, but you can help me.” Mace says.
“With what?” You asked.
“I need to get back at someone who did something he shouldn’t have done.” She says.
“I’d love to help you, but I’m not supposed to leave here.” You say.
“I talked to them and they said it’s fine.” She makes up.
You knew better than to go anywhere with a stranger, but Mace didn’t leave you any choice when she made you leave with her. The employees at the foster care facility didn’t even notice that Mace took you. You have no idea where she’s taking you. You took a look around Lin Mi Sheng’s apartment as you walked inside.
“Why am I here?” You asked for what it seems like the thousandth time.
“I already told you on the plane and in the car.” Mace says.
Mace leads you to a bedroom.
“Stay in here.” Mace says before she closes the door.
You frowned to yourself. Why do those three words sound familiar to you? Where have you heard that before? You shrugged it off, not thinking much about it. You have zero clue to what’s about to happen outside of the bedroom and who’s you’re about to see. You sighed to yourself and sat down on the edge of the bed and fidgeted with your fingers.
“I guess this is hell.” Nick says as he walks into Lin’s apartment.
Mace, Marie, Lin, Khadijah, and Graciela prepared themselves for what’s about to happen.
“Where’s the drive?” Nick asks, getting straight to the point.
They didn’t dare to say a word about the drive.
“Ok then.” Nick says.
That’s when Nick pulls his gun out and begins to execute the people who are the most closest to them. You jumped at the sound of a gun going off. Your heart was beating so fast that you thought it was going to burst through your chest. Mace managed to sneak away to go get you without Nick noticing.
“Get up.” Mace orders as soon as she opened the bedroom door.
After hearing gunshots just a moment ago, you stayed frozen in place on the bed. Mace walks over to you, grabbing your arm and forcing you to stand up. You tripped over your own feet as she lead you to the living room area of the apartment. Nick didn’t recognize you right away. He frowns in confusion when he saw you, wondering why they have a kid with them.
“Who’s the kid?” Nick asks.
“You don’t recognize your own daughter, Nick?” Mace asks.
“Of course I recognize my daughter. She’s-” The words died on his tongue and his eyes grow wide. “Oh my god.” He says in complete shock.
While Nick is in his shocked state, you’re in a state of confusion right now. You’re scared too, but you’re more confused at the moment. You have no idea what Mace is talking about.
“Y/N?” Nick says.
You frowned in confusion and looked around the room before pointing at yourself. How does this man know your name?
“Do I know you?” You asked.
“Y/N, it’s daddy.” Nick says softly.
You kept staring at Nick in confusion. The last time you and your dad saw each other, you were 2 years old. You recognized him the more you kept staring at him.
“Daddy!” You say.
You went to run over to him, but Mace yanks you back to her.
“Here’s how this is going to go.” Mace begins. “I’ll give you your daughter if you call off the killing spree of their loved ones. If you don’t, something bad is going to happen to your precious little baby.” She says, her voice sounding threatening.
Nick knows that Mace wouldn’t hurt a child, but he’s not taking any chances. He’s so scared for you that he’s willing to do anything to get you back.
“Ok. Fine.” Nick agrees.
Nick puts his gun down and tells his men to stand down and Mace shoves you towards your dad. You ended up falling down in front of him. Nick helps you up and holds you close to him.
“Are you ok, sweetie?” Nick asks softly.
“I think so.” You say.
Nick motions for one of his men to come over to him.
“I want you to keep a close eye on my daughter and get her anything she wants. I need take care of something.” Nick says to him.
“Yes, sir.” He says.
You clung to your dad like a koala, not wanting to leave him.
“Dad, no!” You whimpered.
“Everything is going to be fine. I promise. I’ll see you in a few minutes. Ok?” He says.
“Ok.” You say.
His men kindly escorted you out of the apartment and took you to the car. One of his men texted Nick to let him know that you’re safe in the car. He puts his phone in his pocket and stares at Mace. The drive is the furthest thing on his mind right now.
“Why in the hell would you bring my daughter into this?” Nick asks.
“We did what we had to do, Nick.” Mace says.
“You didn’t need to do anything! She’s an innocent child!” He says, raising his voice at her. “How did you even find her?! No one knew where her and my ex wife were, except for me.” He says.
“I went through your history. You wanna know what I found out about your ex wife?” She says.
“What?” He asks, thinking that she’s going to say something that’s not true.
“Your ex wife got killed by Elijah while your daughter was in her bedroom 8 years ago.” She says.
Nick’s heart drops. Even though him and your mom were divorced, he still cared about her. He walks closer to Mace, getting in her face.
“This isn’t over.” Nick says.
Nick leaves the apartment and gets into the car you’re in. You clung to him the second he got in the car.
“You’re ok, sweetie.” Nick whispers.
Nick told the driver to take you and him to the hotel he’s staying at. He made sure you were comfortable before telling you that he has to leave to take care of something.
“I’ll be back in a little bit, kiddo. I have something to take care of.” Nick says softly.
The teary look in your eyes almost made Nick want to give in and stay with you, but he really needs to get to the bottom of why Mace and the girls got their hands on you.
“I promise I’ll come back.” He says.
“Ok.” You say.
Nick gives you a hug and a kiss on your forehead.
“Do not let my daughter out of your sight. Get her anything she wants when she asks for it.” Nick says.
“Yes, sir.” His men say.
You watched your dad leave. Then you sat down on the bed and turned the TV on. You flipped through the channels till you found a movie you like. Meanwhile Nick went back to the girls to get answers to why they got their hands on you.
“If you’re here for the drive, we’re not telling you where it is.” Mace says.
Nick is there for the drive, but that’s the furthest thing on his mind right now.
“I am here for that, but that’s the furthest thing on my mind right now.” Nick says.
Mace and the girls frowned in confusion and looked at each other.
“What I want to know is why you thought it was a good idea to bring my daughter into this?” Nick says.
“You really want to know why we did that, Nick? I’ll tell you. You made me think you were dead. I didn’t know you faked your death until I saw you at that auction. I wanted to hit you where it hurts. That’s why I brought your daughter into this.” Mace says.
“That’s why you did it? Do you not understand what that does to a parent, Mace? Seeing my child in any kind of danger terrifies me.” He says.
“Now you’re playing the scared parent card? You haven’t seen your daughter since she was 2 years old. She wasn’t even in your custody after her mom got killed. She was in foster care this whole time.” She says.
Nick’s jaw clenches and anger is course through his veins. Not only is he pissed off at Mace, he’s upset with himself that he didn’t even know that you were in foster care for 8 years.
“Did I touch a nerve, Nick?” Mace asks.
Nick walks over to Mace, getting in her face again.
“Not that it’s any of your business, but I did see my daughter. I tried to visit her as much as I could. I just got caught up with work. Anyone who’s a parent would understand that.” Nick says.
“I understand.” Graciela speaks up.
Nick looks over at Graciela.
“I’m a parent too, Nick. I get caught up with work once in a while. You said you tried to visit your daughter?” Graciela says.
Nick nods.
“You tried. That means something. That’s all that matters.” Graciela says.
“Don’t sympathize with him and his shitty parenting.” Mace says.
“Shut the fuck up! The way I parent my child is none of your business!” Nick raises his voice at Mace.
Mace rolls her eyes at Nick.
“I’m only going to say this once, stay the hell away from my daughter.” Nick says.
“Or what, Nick? Are you going to kill me?” Mace taunts.
“I’ll do what I have to do to protect my child.” He says.
Now that Nick has that out of the way. He’s going to try another attempt of getting the drive from them. Meanwhile, you’re watching a movie in your dad’s hotel room. You and one of his men heard a thudding sound on the outside of the door.
“Stay here.” One of his men says.
He pulls his gun out and cautiously walks over to the door. He opens the door and steps out into the hallway, closing the door behind him. A few seconds later, you heard hit body hit the floor. You didn’t dare to move from your spot on the bed. Then the door opens. One of Elijah’s men enters the room. Your eyes grew wide. You scrambled off of the bed and tried to run past him, but you didn’t get far. He grabs you and slams your head into the wall hard enough to knock you out.
When Nick got back to his hotel room, the door was opened and his men were knocked out in the hallway. He gets his gun out and cautiously enter the room. He didn’t see you anywhere in there. He saw a dent in the wall. That’s enough to tell him that you were knocked out. Nick was racking his brain, trying to figure out who could’ve taken you and where you are. Then his phone started ringing. He answered it without looking at the caller ID.
“Hello?” Nick answers the phone.
“I see that you saw your daughter for the first time in years.” Elijah says.
“Where is she, Elijah?” Nick asks.
“Now, why would I tell you that? Although, you better hurry up before something happens to her.” Elijah says before hanging up.
Nick’s jaw clenches again. He puts his phone back in his pocket and went back out to the car. He told the driver to take him to Elijah’s office. Meanwhile, your head was pounding when you woke up on the couch in Elijah’s office. You groaned as you stand up. That’s when you saw Elijah.
“Hello there, Y/N.” Elijah says.
“How- How do you know my name?” You asked.
“I know everything about you and your parents.” He says.
The more Elijah talked, the more his voice sounded familiar to you. Where have you heard his voice before? That’s when it clicked for you. You heard his voice 8 years ago when he killed your mom.
“It’s you! You’re the one who killed my mom!” You exclaimed.
“Your mom was a great CIA agent. It was too bad that I had to kill her.” Elijah says.
“I was in my bedroom closet when you killed her. I was only 2.” You say.
“If I would’ve known you were there, I would’ve killed you too.” He says.
You gasped and your eyes teared up. Your blood ran cold.
“My dad will find me and he’ll be mad that you kidnapped me.” You say.
“Maybe he will. Maybe he won’t.” Elijah says.
“He will!” You say, raising your voice at him.
Elijah walks over to you and grabs your jaw with a tight grip, getting in your face.
“Didn’t your parents ever tell you not to raise your voice at people? Oh wait, your mom is dead and your dad hasn’t seen you since you were 2 years old.” He says.
Elijah let’s go of your jaw, shoving you back on the couch. That’s when you heard footsteps coming up the stairs. Your dad’s footsteps.
“I have 10 men outside.” Elijah says.
“You had 10 men.” Nick says.
You went to run over to your dad, but Elijah grabs you and pulls you backwards, causing you to fall to the floor. Nick didn’t like that one bit.
“You’re the reason why my daughter was in foster care.” Nick says.
“She wouldn’t have been in foster care if your ex wife had just come back to the agency.” Elijah says.
“My ex wife quit her job at the agency for a reason.” Nick says.
“Yea, yea. She said some excuse about protecting yours and hers daughter.” Elijah says.
“That is not an excuse.” Nick says. “Now that I think about it, I should’ve quit my job at the agency for my daughter too.” He says.
“Can you really call yourself a dad if you haven’t seen your daughter since she was 2 years old?” Elijah asks.
“Say that again. I dare you.” Nick says, his voice sounding threatening.
“Or what? You won’t do shit, Fowler. Just like your ex wife when I killed her.” Elijah says.
That set Nick off. He pulls out his gun, shooting Elijah. You screamed and covered your ears and closed your eyes, tears streaming down your face. Then your dad rushes over to you and picks you up, carrying you out of there and to the car. You opened your eyes, seeing that you’re being put in the car. You uncovered your ears and clung to your dad.
“You’re ok now, sweetie. It’s all over now.” Nick says softly.
Nick told the driver to take you and him home. Home meaning, his house. You were lost in your thoughts through the ride home. You couldn’t help but wonder if you’re going to be living with your dad now or if you’re going back to foster care.
“You were quiet in the car.” Nick points out when you two walk inside of his house.
“I was just thinking.” You say.
“About what?” He asks.
“I couldn’t help but wonder if I’m going to be living with you or if I’m going to be taken back to foster care.” You say.
Nick hugs you when your eyes teared up.
“You’re staying with me. You are not going back to foster care.” Nick says.
“Really?” You asked.
“Of course you are. You’re my daughter.” He says.
That made you smile and feel relieved that you’re not going back to foster care.
“I know I haven’t been the best dad to you over the years, but I want you to know that’s going to change. I’ll try my best to be the best damn dad I can be.” Nick says softly.
“You were always the best dad.” You say.
“Thanks, kiddo.” He smiles and playfully ruffles your hair.
———
Now that you and your dad are back in each other’s lives, you two have an inseparable father daughter relationship. Nick stuck to his words. He’s being the best damn dad he can be. He’s also making up for 8 years of lost time. Also, you’re no longer in foster care, you’re in your dad’s custody and live with him full time. You and him wouldn’t change that for the world.
While you and your dad out for a dad and daughter day, Mace and the girls were at yours and his house. They’re there to drug Nick and get him arrested. The girls were hidden while Mace was out in the open. Mace was in the living room. She saw framed pictures of you and your dad hung up on the wall in the living room.
“What should we do next week, dad?” You asked as you and your dad walked up to yours and his house.
“Anything you want, kiddo.” Nick says and smiles.
You hummed to yourself as you thought of something fun for you and him to do next week. After you and your dad went inside of the house, you two saw Mace in the living room sitting on the couch. Nick, being the overprotective dad he is now, keeps you close to him when he saw her.
“What’s she doing here, dad?” You asked.
“I don’t know, sweetie. Why don’t you go to your room while I figure that out.” He says.
“Dad.” You say with worry in your voice.
“It’ll be ok, sweetheart.” He softly assures.
You stared at Mace for a second before leaving the living room. You didn’t go to your bedroom. You stayed in the hallway and listened to what your dad talk to Mace. You only did that to protect him.
“What are you doing here, Mace? I made it pretty clear for you to stay away from my daughter.” Nick says.
“Calm down, Nick. I’m not here for your kid.” Mace says.
“You got about 5 seconds to tell me why you’re here before I throw you out of my house.” He says.
“I just want to talk.” She says, trying to sound convincing.
Mace didn’t sound convincing at all. Nick didn’t want to hear anything she had to say, especially after she kidnapping you.
“Why would I want to hear anything you have to say after you kidnapped my daughter?” Nick says.
“You don’t have to talk. All you have to do is listen.” Mace says.
Nick inhales deeply and huffs exasperatedly.
“Ok. Fine. Talk.” He says.
Nick walked over to the little drink cart he has in the living room to get himself and Mace something to drink.
“Ice or no ice?” He asks her.
“No ice.” She says.
Nick puts a circular ice cube in his drink and then walks over to the couch, sitting down next to her and giving her a drink. Little does Nick know that she put something in the ice cube he put in his drink. You poked your head out from behind the wall while trying not to get noticed by your dad. You listened to every word Mace said to your dad.
“All you have to do is turn yourself in, Nick.” Mace says.
“Why would I do that?” Nick asks.
“You know why.” She says.
Nick chuckles. That’s when he began to feel the effects of the drug Mace put in the ice cube. You can see it too. It looked like he was about to pass out.
“You don’t look so good, Nick.” Mace almost mocks.
Nick clears his throat and tries to play it off. You got scared and worried. You ran back into the living room to check on your dad.
“Daddy, are you ok?” You asked worriedly, lightly tapping his cheek.
“I’m- I’m fine.” Nick says, the drug making him slur his words.
Your eyes teared up. Not only are you scared and worried for your dad, anger began to course through your veins. You immediately knew Mace and the girls were behind this.
“What did you do to my dad?!” You yelled at her.
“What we had to, kid.” Mace says with no emotion. “All he has to do is admit what he did and turn himself in and I’ll give him the antidote that reverses the drug or he can die.” She says.
That’s when the other girls revealed themselves.
“Are you guys crazy?! Do you guys not realize my dad would get taken away from me if he admits to what he did?! Yes, I know what he used to do is bad, but he doesn’t do that anymore! He changed his ways for me! If you let whatever drug you gave him kill him, I’ll have no one and I’ll be put back in foster care! My mom died when I was 2! I don’t want to lost my dad too! Please! I’m begging you! Reverse whatever you drugged him with! I don’t want to lose my dad!” You cried, tears streaming down your face.
Mace and the girls quickly realized what they did is wrong. If they don’t reverse the drug, your dad will die in front of you. They don’t have the heart to take a father away from his child. Mace quickly gave Nick the antidote to reverse the drug. It took effect after a few seconds.
“Daddy, how are you feeling?” You asked.
“I’m feeling better, sweetheart.” Nick says.
You smiled and felt relieved. You let out a breath you didn’t even know you were holding. Your head falls against your dad’s chest, a loud and relieved sob leaves your lips. It sent chills down everyone’s spines. Nick wraps his arms around you, holding you close to him as you cried.
“Hey, hey. Don’t cry, sweetie. I told you I’m fine.” He says softly.
“I was scared that I was going to lose you. I already lost mom. I don’t want to lose you too.” You cried.
“You’re not going to lose me, kiddo. I promise.” He says softly.
As your dad was comforting you, he looks at Mace and the girls, narrowing his eyes at them.
“Get the hell out of my house before I throw you guys out.” Nick says to them.
Mace and the girls showed themselves out. You spent the rest day taking care of your dad. You stayed by his side all day. You didn’t leave him for a second, except to get him a glass of water with fresh ice cubes since the other ones were tampered with.
“I’m sorry you had to see that, sweetheart.” Nick apologizes softly.
“It was scary.” You say.
“I know it was, sweetie. All that matters now is that I’m fine and you didn’t lose me.” He says softly.
“I don’t want to experience that again.” You say, hugging him.
“I don’t want you to experience that again either.” He says.
“I love you, dad.” You say.
“I love you too, kiddo.” He says and kisses the top of your head.

Steve Hansel and Nick Gretel (their parents were hoping for a girl) made a pact years ago to never enter the woods again, not after that fateful day of crossing paths with the witch. When they were kids, their mother had unfortunately passed away, causing their father to find solace in the arms of another. They remembered the wedding clearly, how their hearts nearly beat out of their small chests as their father remarried the woman who would bring hell to their small family.
The hatred that leaked from their stepmother’s flesh could only be noticed by them; their father too blind with heartbreak to even notice. At their age, they were too young to understand why their father would remarry if he wasn’t in love with the woman. But as they grew older, bypassing the trauma they experienced. They began to realise their father was trying to fill a void with the first woman that passed.
The one thing you should never do in a fairytale is trust the stepmother, the boys learnt this the hard way. Their family wasn’t the wealthiest, having to survive off the small crumbs that they could find or gather. They trusted the woman when she had said that she found some food they could harvest not too far from their home. Steve being the smartest out of the two, made sure to fill his pockets with some rocks, nodding toward his brother Nick before they followed, creating a small path along the way so they wouldn’t get lost. Their stepmother left after distracting them long enough, ensuring that she could finally get rid of the two extra mouths to feed.
But the boys didn’t worry as the older of the two, gripped his brother’s hand and led him back home. Following the small rocks, and once they stepped foot out of the dreadful woods, they were greeted by their father who had been worried sick. As a small child, you’d think nothing of this, but as their father wrapped the two into a warm, loving hug. Steve looked over his shoulder, resting his chin on his father and smirked at the fuming woman, her lip sneered upwards as she realised her plan had failed.
Her second attempt had somewhat succeeded; she lured the boys back out with the promise of more food. Steve having not collected any rocks that week, grabbed his leftover bread and decided to use that as their way back home. Yet, he had forgotten that they were not the only hungry creatures living in the woods. As a child when you get lost, you become scared and you don’t know what to do, you expect for an adult to come and save you because how could a child do that for themselves? They weren’t built to protect themselves, they had adults for that, adults to learn from so that they could carry on protecting when they got older. The boys were terrified, but Steve wouldn’t show it because it was then that he realised he would be the one protecting his brother from now.
Hands gripped tight, they wondered through the woods hoping to find their way back home until a small shout came from Nick’s mouth, Steve’s head whips around and his eyes widen when he sees a house made completely of gingerbread, decorated with the finest lollies, he could feel his mouth water and before he could stop his brother. Nick dropped his hand and took off running toward the delicious looking house. His mouth already opened as he began to nibble on a pillar, his stomach filling immediately. Steve caught up with him and slowly begin to eat as well, what harm could this do? They were kids, living in a poor home with barely any food to keep their stomach from rumbling every five seconds.
This was where the real horror began, an ugly old woman slammed open the door, screaming at them before she dragged the boys inside. Again, another promises them food, as if there were a giant sign on their head signalling, they needed it. Steve’s eyes darted around the home, connecting with those of a girl’s, her eyes wide and lips pouted. He wondered if the two were related or if she was also kept prisoner as the wicked old witch shoved the boys inside a small cell. She kept mumbling on about filling them up and eating them, causing the boys to try, and come up with a plan to get out of there.
The witch called upon the youngest, telling him to help her with the oven door. The young girl watched from the corner, observing, and ignoring as the eldest boy tried to get her attention. Her grandmother wouldn’t like that, she wanted the young girl to continue studying their witchcraft, wanting her to continue their legacy if anything ever happened to her. She watched as the oven door managed to open, and her grandmother turned toward her, something that she shouldn’t have done as it distracted her from the boy beside her.
“Y/–” The witch is cut off, a scream leaving her as Nick pushes her fat body into the oven. The girl too shocked to move, she felt her body freezing up instead of rushing over to help. Nick stumbles towards his older brother, yanking the cell open and running with him as they escape. Steve turns his head, eyes connecting with the young girls, he gulped as her face slowly morphed into an evil look, her eyes narrowed and dark, with a promise that she will one day become strong enough and find those that killed her grandmother.
As the boys ran for their lives, twists, and turns, narrowly missing the trees and bushes. They somehow managed to exit the woods and head toward their home where their father was, again worried sick for them. He pulled the boys into his arms, holding them tight and listened as they went on about their stepmother and then the witch. None of the boys noticed that the stepmother never made it back, getting lost herself and the father was glad that his boys were home again. Steve and Nick looked at each other and that day they made a pact to never step foot in those woods again.
That pact was broken as the now men wandered into the woods. “I thought we agreed that we wouldn’t step foot into these woods again?” Nick sneered, not being able to ignore the chills that spread through his body at the thought. He gripped the sword tight, one that matched his brothers.
“Father is old, Nick. We are barely passing by as it is, and we need the food. You know that for us to be here again, it is our last resort.” Steve tried getting his brother to understand, he didn’t want to be in these woods either. Not after the look that young girl gave him, after that day he had managed to get the town in on searching for her, of course some believed there was a witch in the woods as their own children have gone missing. But they had all come up empty, which left him to think that they were related. It would explain the look she gave him as they ran out of there.
After that day, the brothers became a bit darker, smarter. Their minds had twisted, no longer sweet and innocent. Nick grunted, kicking a rock that got in his way and watched as it flew across the ground. “I know, but. It feels…” He paused, not knowing what word to use to describe the feeling.
“I feel it too.” Nick felt somewhat relieved that his brother could feel what he felt too, but he didn’t know if that was a good or bad thing. “Come on, we better get going before dark.” Steve ushered his brother forward, heading in a direction opposite the one that caused their trauma. They took cautious steps as they wandered through the woods, managing to gather some food and kill some animals.
Nick hit his brother’s arm; eyes wide as he gestures to a house in the middle of nowhere. A replica to the one many years ago. Steve can feel rage build inside him as he stares, wishing the place would burn down. “That can’t be the same one. We went another way!” Nick exclaims, horror filling his bones.
Steve launches forward, his feet stomping against the dirt and leaves as he heads toward the house. Nick stumbles along, trying to stop his brother even though he feels the same rage deep inside. They both release a breath as they stop in front of the door, the sweet scent of gingerbread filling their senses. Before Steve can knock, the door flings open, and their mouth falls open.
You stand there, your hair perfectly wild and your long black dress falls gracefully while hugging your figure. Your eyes are sharp as you glare at the two men, it was as though they couldn’t breathe. You were so beautiful, practically glowing as you stared them down. “Who do you think you are trespassing onto my property?!” You growl, starring up at the men as they tower over you. You could feel it in your bones, they felt familiar, as if you knew them from somewhere.
Steve’s eyes widen more than before, your eyes. He had seen those eyes before, his brows furrowed, and the rage continued to build as he connected the dots. You had grown, it wasn’t hard for him to remember those eyes. They had haunted him for years, striking fear deep inside him and his brother. “You! You’re the little girl!” He fumed, only to be held back by his brother as he tries to step forward.
Your eyes widen slightly as you begin to remember who they are. The men that made you an orphan, causing you to watch as your grandmother cooked. “Oh!” And like that, ever so subtly. Your demeanour changes, a soft smile replacing the frown, your eyes lighten and your back straightens. “You’re the boys that saved me! Come in! Come in!” You usher them in, sneering and coiling on the inside as those words slip from your lips. This was the only way you could get revenge, a life for a life. “I’m just preparing myself some dinner if you two would like to join!”
Steve and Nick cautiously follow you inside, looking around. “It’s not children, is it?” Nick lets out a small ‘ow’ while rubbing his head when Steve whacks him, giving him a ‘what the hell’ look. Your soft laugh causes them to slightly relax, thinking you might be different.
On the inside, your laugh is cruel, wicked. You couldn’t wait to watch the brothers burn, finally getting the satisfaction after all these years. “Of course not, why would I eat children?” You bat your lashes innocently at him, smirking inside as he blushes. It was now or never, you needed this. “Could you please help me?” You pout, knowing you have the youngest brother in your palm. “I–I’m too weak to open the door… And I usually end up hurting myself.” It was a long shot, maybe they’d connect the dots, maybe they wouldn’t but you were so close.
Nick nods, beginning to head over. A sense of Deja-vu hits him but he ignores it, you seemed so cute and innocent. What harm could someone as tiny as you do? Steve watches, his stomach twists, trying to tell him something and out of the two brothers he listens. You seemed distracted, only watching Nick so he decides to move slow, sneaking behind you.
You noticed too late, a gasp falls from your lips as Steve grabs hold of you, locking your arms behind your back, pressing against his front. “Let go of me!” You struggle against his hold, sneering at them. “I swear to god if you don’t let me go, I’ll make you regret this!” You yelp as Steve tugs on your arms harshly, pushing you toward your large wooden table.
Nick blinks, looking between you and the oven before letting out a gasp. “Oh my god! It was going to happen again?!” Steve rolls his eyes, gesturing his brother to come help. Nick quickly stumbles forward, taking over for his brother while Steve walks into your line of vision. He crouches down, looking into your eyes while he reaches forward and tucks a fall piece of hair behind your ear.
“Did you really think we’d be stupid enough to fall for that a second time…” Steve looks at Nick before shaking his head, looking back down at you. “Okay, maybe one of us wasn’t stupid enough.” He ignores the small ‘hey’ as he gives you a smirk. “What should we do with you, huh?”
“Let me go!” You sneer, glaring daggers at the man. Nick groans as you push back against him, accidentally grinding against his bulge. You gasp, eyes widening. “You pervert!” You thrash around, your movements not helping the man behind you.
Steve grins as he realises what he’s going to do to you. He reaches forward and grips your chin, tilting your head back enough that it begins to strain your neck. He leans forward, keeping eye contact. “We’re going to have some fun with you, little witch.” The force of his hand causes your mouth to open slightly and your walls clench around nothing as Steve spits into it. Never once has a mere human made you react like this.
You must have zoned out because when you blink, the brothers had swapped positions. Maybe you could taunt one, distract him long enough. You breathe, focusing on the one before you, letting your magic swirl around and enter him. You let out a giggle, “Nick Gretel… Oh, your parents must have–” Your cut off and your eyes widen as a hard but soft object enters your mouth, causing you to choke and gag as it hits the back of your throat. Your eyes move down and widen more as you realise what has entered, you can feel yourself dampen at how big and thick he is.
“Oops, what was that, little witch?” Nick groans, feeling your lips tighten around his throbbing member, your tongue flicking instinctively around his swollen tip. “Shit, I think she’s enjoying this, brother.”
Steve hums, having rolled your dress above your hips while you were distracted and swiping a finger through your glistening folds. “Of course, she is, she’s a slut. Isn’t that right, little witch? You were just desperate for attention.” You whimper around Nick, causing him to let out a groan and jerk his hips. Thrusting deeper into your warm, wet mouth. “You just want to be stuffed, huh? Have us use both your holes, fuck you until you’re dumb. Fill you with our cum, making you want and beg for more.” His words cause your eyes to roll back, your thighs becoming slicker at the thought. Steve smiles, nodding. “Just like I thought.”
He stands, palming his throbbing cock before he releases it. A groan falls from his lips and shoots through to your core as his strokes the thick base. The older brother guides his mushroom tip through your lips, gathering your juices before he pushes in. “Oh fuck… She’s so tight.” Steve grunts, his eyes fluttering as he thrusts deeper, his cock being hugged by your delicious walls. His hands grip your hips as you squeeze him, your moans vibrate around Nick’s cock, and he shouts.
“Fuck! I’m not going to last if she keeps doing that!” Nick holds the back of your head; his head falls forward as he slowly fucks your face. He watches as his cock slides in and out of your mouth, drool slipping out the sides of your mouth, only the whites of your eyes visible. “Such a good little witch, taking me so well.”
Steve thrusts into you hard and fast, holding you down. He groans as his hands move from your hips to your plump cheeks that jiggle with each thrust, he grips them, pulling them apart and squeezing them. “Fuck, who knew a witch could be so pretty. Not like the other one we met.” Steve makes a dig at your dead grandmother, causing anger to build inside of you only to be replaced with pleasure. You tense before slowly relaxing in their hold, sucking desperately on Nick’s cock while his older brother splits you open.
The feel of their pulsing veins, sliding in and out of your holes, their scents invading your senses cause you to become dizzy. You have never felt something so intense before and in response your walls clench and unclench around Steve like crazy, sucking him in deeper, allowing him to hit the spots that are far out of your reach. You moan, tingles erupt throughout your body as Nick buries his cock into the back of your throat and releases, filling your mouth with his cum.
You swallow as he pulls out, slouching into the chair behind him as he watches his brother destroy you with hazy eyes. “O–oh!” You bury your face into the wooden table, hands flying forward and gripping the edge tightly, causing your knuckles to whiten.
Steve growls, leaning forward and towering over you. His hand moves from your arse to the back of your head and pushes it harder into the surface. “You like that, slut? Such a weak fucking witch.” You whimper, tightening around him as your vision becomes white and your juices coat his thick member. Steve groans, continuing to thrust before coating your walls with his cum. Like his brother, he gently pulls out and sinks into the chair behind him, half-lidded eyes watch as your cunt clenches and unclenches around nothing and his cum leaks from your tight hole.
Your chest moves up and down as you breathe, trying to push away the left-over pleasure that runs through your body, you slowly move and fix your dress before lifting your hands. As magic begins to swirl around you and the room, you prepare to get rid of these men once and for all. “This is for my grandmother.”
The brothers ignore the shivers that roll through their body at how chilling your voice is, they look at each other knowing that they will have to do something and fast before the magic can hit them completely.
Steve being the closet decides to distract you while his brother grabs something from his pocket, while your attention remains on Steve, you don’t seem to notice the other sneaking up behind you. You’d think you would learn after last time, but of course, you thought you were strong enough. Your eyes widen when you are suddenly grabbed and before you can even think of using your magic, a cloth is placed on your mouth causing your eyes to become droopy. “You should’ve just been a good little witch…” You hear one of them before you go completely limp.
As they head back in the direction of their home, with you in their arms. You would later learn when you awoke that you should never wait to strike revenge, especially as a witch.
Pairing: Nick Fowler x f’Spy reader (Codename: Lark)
Setting: Bucharest, Romania – Winter; Mission: Prevent a chemical weapon from being auctioned to rogue states.
Warnings: violence, mention of weapons
Summary: Nick Fowler and a French spy, Lark, are forced to work together on a deadly mission. Tension turns to passion in a safehouse after a near-fatal escape—but by morning, she’s gone
The Romanian sky was the color of bruises—cloud-heavy, brittle with cold. Nick Fowler moved through the abandoned train yard like a ghost, dressed in black, Glock low at his side. The snow muffled the sound of his boots. Somewhere, beyond the crumbling warehouses, a deal was going down. And with typical CIA brilliance, they’d dropped him in without backup.
Except… not entirely.
The intel had been clear: a contact from the French DGSE would meet him at grid point 27B. Codename: Lark. Untraceable. Unreliable. Highly effective. He hated working with ghosts.
When he turned the corner, she was already there.
Perched on a rusted train car, rifle slung low, cigarette tucked between her lips. Her hair tied back in a braid that meant business. She glanced down at him, unbothered.
“You’re late,” she said in French.
“I wasn’t aware I was being timed.”
She jumped down without ceremony. “You Americans always think you’re the main character.”
Nick narrowed his eyes. “And you French always talk too much before a job.”
“Good,” she said, brushing past him. “Then we understand each other.”
Tension thrummed between them like a tripwire. She smelled faintly of smoke and leather. He hated how fast he noticed.
They moved together through the darkness, silent but not seamless. She worked with surgical precision—detaching sensors, overriding cameras. Nick caught her watching him twice. Calculating.
“You don’t trust me,” she said without turning.
“Should I?”
“No,” she said simply. “But we don’t have the luxury of doubt tonight.”
They reached the auction site—an underground chamber reeking of mold and money. Through Nick’s earpiece, static crackled, then died. Jammed.
“Plan’s changed,” she muttered.
“Great.”
But then—gunfire. Screams. The intel had been wrong. Someone knew they were coming.
Nick shoved her behind a pillar as bullets cracked against stone. She grabbed his arm and pulled him flush against her.
“I have a second exit,” she whispered into his ear. “But we have to move now.”
He nodded, pulse thundering, not just from adrenaline. She was too close. Her breath brushed his jaw. She smelled like snow and danger. And God, it made him stupid.
They ran.
Down corridors lined with flickering lights. A shot grazed his arm. She turned, fired two rounds. No hesitation. Her eyes were ice—controlled, focused. And yet when they burst out into the open air, panting, bleeding, alive, her hands shook.
He saw it.
“You okay?”
“Don’t,” she snapped. “Don’t ask me that. We’re not friends.”
“No,” he said. “But I just watched you save my life.”
She stared at him. Then—
“Don’t make me regret it.”
They holed up in a safehouse outside the city. A cracked mirror, a half-broken radiator, and a bed too narrow for two. She was cleaning his wound, silent except for the sound of gauze tearing.
“Why are you really here?” she asked.
“I told you. CIA wants that chemical weapon off the market.”
“No,” she said, meeting his gaze. “You. Why are you here?”
Nick hesitated.
“I got someone killed. A rookie. He trusted me, and I made the wrong call. This is penance, I guess.”
She was still. The room grew quiet.
“I had someone too,” she said finally. “Before Paris. Before I became this.”
“Who?”
“My sister,” she whispered. “She died in an op I was supposed to be on. I was late.”
Nick reached for her hand. “You blame yourself?”
“Every day.”
Their hands stayed there. Twined.
He leaned in slowly. She didn’t stop him.
The kiss wasn’t frantic this time—it was slow, cautious. The way you touch something you might break. His hand cupped her jaw. Her fingers curled in his shirt. The years of walls between them cracked, crumbled. All the things they’d lost found voice in that single kiss.
When they broke apart, she rested her forehead against his.
“I don’t do attachments,” she said. “I don’t survive them.”
“I’m not asking for forever,” he whispered. “Just for tonight. Just for this moment.”
The next morning, the sun hadn’t yet risen. She dressed in silence, strapping her holster over bare skin. He watched from the bed.
“You’re leaving.”
“I have to. My agency wants to erase this whole operation. You won’t hear from me again.”
He stood. Crossed the room. Took her by the shoulders.
“You could stay.”
She blinked, and something flickered in her.
“If I stay, I’ll fall,” she said.
“Maybe you’re already falling,” he said, brushing his thumb against her cheek.
She kissed him one last time. It was soft, and sad, and full of things they couldn’t say.
And then she was gone.

A month later, in Istanbul, a courier delivered a sealed envelope to Nick’s hotel room. Inside: a photograph of a sparrow tattoo on a wrist he’d once kissed. And a note, scrawled in sharp French:
𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒚 — nick promised you'd go shopping after you had to punish him for missing yet another date of yours and in a certain store he can't control himself anymore
𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 — SMUT, kinda public sex, fingering, p in v (wrap it before you tap it), slight gagging, wife kink, a teeny tiny bit of brat taming
𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒆 — reblog, comment or/and follow | well what should I say? I hope you like the smut
“Nick? Nick! Where are you, you promised you would come shopping with me!” you called through the apartment.
After Nick came late to yet another date of yours you punished him – in a sexual way – and it resulted in him taking you shopping or promising.
You huffed as you walked towards his office, Nick had been cooped up all morning but now it was time to get out and if you had to drag him out you would. He promised you a shopping tour and unknown to him he needed new suits given the last three came back soaked in blood which would not get out.
Without knocking you pushed the door of his office open, “hello Mr. Fowler, I think you have an urgent meeting to get to,” you said, stalking over to your husband.
His face hung over a lot of papers, and he only lifted his head after you ran your fingers through his hair and gripped him by the roots. “You promised, Nicky,” you whined which caused him to smirk.
“I’ll sign one last paper and then we will go, yeah?” he gently took your hand from his hair and kissed your knuckles.
You lowered your head, “fine…be late and I will get the ropes again,” you whispered the last part into his ear.
Trying to pull your hand away, Nick gripped it tighter, “do not forget who’s in charge here, peach,” he growled, causing goosebumps to line up your neck.
The dominance in your relationship was in a healthy balance, when you had sex, it was mostly Nick who took the reign as you were often too shy but sometimes you would dominate him. For the other part of your relationship, it was often you who bossed Nick around.
“Be on time and I won’t forget,” you smirked, pressing a kiss to his cheek before leaving his office with swaying hips.
Nick watched you leave and shook his head at your actions, you were truly made for him.
Ten minutes later Nick entered the living room where you were already waiting for him in your skin-tight red dress and black Louboutin heels.
His eyes almost fell out at how beautiful you looked, “look at my beautiful wife,” he commented, snaking his arm around your waist and pulling you against his chest. “Think you get out of this by complimenting me?” you eyed him suspiciously.
“Wouldn’t dream of it, peach,” Nick chuckled and got his wallet from his pocket putting it in your palm.
You smirked at him letting the wallet fall into your purse before interlocking your fingers with his. Nick led you out of the apartment to his car.
He opened the door for you and helped you climb in before closing it behind you. You loved his gentleman manner.
Your husband drove you to a shopping mile filled with expensive shops, cafés and more. As he parked you started telling him your checklist, “we need three new suits for you, you can choose the brand but it gotta be three blue, dark blue. Then I need a new dress, a few new sets of underwear after someone destroyed them-,” “not sorry for that-,” “and then a new pair of jeans.”
The car was parked by Nick who turned around to face you, “that all?” he asked with a smirk. Rolling your eyes with a smile you were well aware that he made fun of you, swapping his chest when you got out of the car.
The first stop was for Nick’s suits, and he chose Armani – as always. “Why does it always have to be Armani?” you questioned as you entered the store.
“Would you like me to wear something else?” Nick asked back which had you raising your chin, “you don’t answer a question with a question, but for your information. I liked the Prada suit you wore on our honeymoon.”
A smirk played on his lips, “our honeymoon was five years ago…you still remember what I wore?” Now he was teasing you.
“See what good of a wife I’m?” you huffed while looking at the different colours, then two arms wrapped around your waist and pulled you against Nick’s chest. He nuzzled his nose into the nape of your neck, “you’re the best wife, I don’t even know what I did to deserve you,” he kissed your delicate skin.
“Good save,” you said with a smirk and stopped at a dark blue suit, “try on this one,” you ordered and gave him the suit.
Nick followed your order and vanished behind the curtain, the suit would probably need a bit of adjustment but that was the littlest problem. He then stepped out and your eyes almost fell out at how good he looked.
“Is the arm length okay?” you asked as you inspected the sleeve, “it’s good, but I believe the pants are a bit too long.”
Nodding you kneeled down and turned over the end, “better?” you asked, looking up at him.
Nick looked down at you and had a hard time not falling on his knees, you were beautiful down there and the way your eyes looked up at him had his cock throbbing.
“Yeah,” he said with a shaky breath which you didn’t notice. “Good, then we will let them adjust it, do you want to try on the two others? I mean it seems silly as they’re all the same color…,” you weren’t sure if it was the right decision, after all the other two suits could work out differently for him.
“It’s fine, if they don’t fit in the end then I’ll get them tailored again,” he said without a care in the world which had you shrugging. “Okay, if you say so.”
“Now where to?” Nick asked, holding out his arm for you as you both stepped out of the store.
“Victoria Secret,” you stated and his eyes lit up, your expression fell as you realized what was running through his mind, “no,” you instantly said, holding your finger up.
You couldn’t have sex in a changing room again, last time you were too close to getting caught and you would not risk getting kicked out of a store. Nick pouted, but you kept your face straight, he smirked and turned away from you.
“Did you hear me? Nick…,” “I heard you, don’t worry peach.” Internally you groaned, he was not going to listen to you.
The two of you entered the store and almost in the same second all women looked at you, all of them were here alone while you stood here…with your husband. Some didn’t even spare you a glance and only looked at Nick while others looked jealous and only two women looked like they were happy for you.
You strolled through the rows of braw, thongs, pajamas and more with no exact imagination of what you would want to try on. A few colours flew around in your mind, but none stuck permanently.
Nick turned a corner and began looking on his own, if he didn’t know what you’d like he wouldn’t look.
His eyes catched a baby blue set of lingerie, it looked like a little dress. The front had little flowers, in the middle was a small corset, a skirt with transparent fabric flowed above the thong.
Taking the set from the wall Nick brought it to you with excitement pouring from his gaze.
You were inspecting a red lace bra without pads as Nick popped up in front of you, your eyes widened, “yes…?” you drawled when you saw the way he watched you. He had hid the set behind him to make sure you wouldn’t see it right away.
“What do you think?” he held up the lingerie and your thoughts began to form. “It’s very pretty, I like it,” you agreed and turned to look at the bras.
Nick laid the set over his arm and continued looking at different sets of lingerie, he found another baby blue set, a black one and peach coloured one which he all brought to you. All of them were approved by you, “if only you were this excited when we picked out new suits.”
It was true, Nick hated shopping for suits instead he preferred shopping lingerie, dresses, pants or tops with you however lingerie was his favourite
You yourself had found a wine red and magenta coloured set, having now six sets you walked towards the changing room with Nick in tow, “stay outside,” you warned him before taking the sets with and vanishing behind the curtain.
Defeated, Nick took a seat in a black armchair, leaned back and legs spread wide, his cheek propped on his thumb and pointer finger.
First you put on the baby blue that Nick showed you at the beginning, pulling the curtain aside you revealed yourself to him.
Nick poked his tongue to the side of his cheek, looking you up and down slowly with lust-filled eyes. Oh, how bad he wanted to push you against the wall, kiss down your body until he reached your cunt, how bad he wanted to taste you and ruin you for everyone to hear…let them know you were his.
However he had to listen to you, as much as he loved your punishments, something told him that he wouldn’t enjoy this one as much as the other.
The expression on Nick’s face had you smirking, it showed you how bad he wanted to rip it off of you and fuck you. This one would definitely land in the shopping cart. You closed the curtain again and changed into the pink set you picked.
Normally pink wasn’t on your favourites list, blue or red yes, but pink never really stuck out…until this one.
It was completely made of lace and instead of a low waist thong it was high waist and covered more than the average, at the same time however it left nothing to the imagination and still teased the one lusting for you.
You slid the curtain aside. Nick cursed under his breath as he laid eyes on you, he rarely saw you in pink but he loved seeing you in it. The dark magenta colour made your skin glow.
Nick stood up and walked towards, an expression on his face that could be compared to a lion hunting his prey. You took a step back and hit the wall behind you, Nick came closer and closer until he stood right in front of you. He closed the curtain, then turned back to you.
“Nick,” your breath hitched in your throat, “I told you, I don’t think this is a good idea,” “I’m going to fuck every coherent thought out of your pretty head because the only thing you should be thinking about is how good you feel with my cock inside of you.” God, his dirty mouth would be the death of you.
You couldn’t believe this, how could lingerie have this effect on him? But you also couldn’t deny that the way he looked at you turned you on and the thought of getting caught made it even more exciting.
His hands roamed your body, squeezing your breast, rolling his hips against your crotch. With his left hand he held your throat to keep your eyes on him while his right hand trailed down to your cunt.
Sliding his middle and pointer finger beneath the fabric he snapped it against your mound. A shuddering breath slipped from your mouth as it hit your sensitive skin.
You were still a little sore from last night, but you wouldn’t stop Nick, you couldn’t. Your body didn’t let you, however given the fact you had known Nick for years you were well aware how quick he would lose control with you.
“Nick, don’t-,” you plead was cut off by him stroking your folds, “you’re so wet peach…for someone who didn’t want me to fuck her in a changin room you’re quite response.”
Goddamn, you just wanted to keep him from destroying the lingerie - even if it would be an accident, he always found a way. Ripping them apart or covering them in his sperm which in 8 out of 10 times wasn’t coming out.
He dipped his two fingers into your leaking hole, normally he would start with one finger but right now he was too impatient and - “slipping right in with my fingers huh? You’re already so wet for me,” he teased your inner walls, curling them inside you.
“Nick, don't-,” again he cut off by pressing his fingertips against your velvet walls. “Peach, you don't need to deny it…I know you want this, now be a good little wife and take what I give,” Nick growled against the shell of your ear. A shiver ran down your spine, his voice had a magical effect on you.
Your hands took hold of his shoulders for support, you kept one hand there while the other gripped into his short hair. You pulled his head back, “do not destroy this set or you won’t get your good little wife for two weeks,” you whispered back which had him smirking.
He pulled his hand from you, with his thumb he parted your lips and pushed his two fingers coated with your glistening juice inside your mouth to gag you.
“Oh, peach…be quiet. Remember who’s in charge here, you wanna be a brat? Then you will be treated accordingly, you know I will not hesitate to punish you right here. I told you to be a good little wife,” he tone was demanding and reminded you who was in charge. Nick pushed his fingers down your throat, the sound of your gagging causing his cock to twitch.
By now it was impossible to control himself in any form, he shoved the thong down your knees impatiently. You fell into submission and undid his belt, letting his pants fall down.
He stroked his cock and lined it up with your entrance. Your moans were muffled thanks to your husband gagging you, his thick cock stretched your cunt. Endorphins filled your veins at the feeling of being filled to the brim.
There was no time, he didn’t give you a second to adjust to his thickness, his size…. “One would think I'd have your cunt worn out by now, but look at you peach! Tight as a fucking virgin," the brunette gritted through his clenched teeth as he rutted his hips into you.
It was hard to keep the moans down, the fingers of Nick helping however. Low groans from him consumed the little room as you squeezed him tight.
A familiar knot builds up in your stomach, a welcomed feeling. The pleased feeling that would soon over take your bed and fill your head with pure bliss. With the tip of his cock Nick hit your sweet spot without any issues, he knew your body too well.
“I know you're about to cum peach, then be a good wife and cum,” he commanded. Relieved washed over you as he allowed you to cum, you doubted that you would have been able to hold it.
A loud yet muffled cry filled the changing room, the way you squeezed him when you came and the sounds that mixed through had Nick explode.
With a low groan he let his head fall down on your shoulder as he spilled his seed inside you, painting you spongy walls. God, how much loved to mark you as his, let everyone in the damn store know who you belong to…to whom he belongs.
Slowly he retrieved from your sore hole, leaving a white line behind. He got on his knees and admired your mound, your cum mixed with his and how it slowly leaked from you.
Not wasting a second he pulled out his phone and snapped a picture, “this one will be added to the collection,” he smiled proudly. At this you could only roll your eyes.
“Do you know how classic a changing room is?” you asked him in disbelief while taking wet wieso from your purse – with a man like Nick they come in handy often. “You're gonna take that number?” he asked with an innocent expression.
Summary: Love just wasn’t enough to keep your marriage together - Nick’s restless ambition to get the promotion in his career ended up driving an everlasting wedge between the two of you, and resulting in divorce. But when you come back home to New York after three years away in London, can Nick win back your heart?

Although Nick was used to this lifestyle, it never got any easier to be a part of. He may have traded being the director of the CIA to become a businessman, but he was still interconnected enough with the agent community to have to announce his presence.
He gives himself a reminder to ask Elsie to fetch him a stiff drink of whiskey as soon as they’re inside to get him through this torture, already picturing her smirk of amusement at his unease.
Speaking of, he sees her keep an eye on him from the sidelines, catching his gaze and giving him a cheeky thumbs up in response to his grumpy face.
For a sweet fifty year old woman, she sure was an asshole.
Almost pulled off his feet, his walking nightmare forces his arm to loop with hers, all but dragging him down the carpet to take pictures.
If he didn’t have an image to uphold, he’d already be ripping her a new one. It wasn’t that he desperately needed her, but the advice given to him by his publicist to have a date wasn’t exactly one he could reject.
Rebuilding Nick’s name the last three years hadn’t been easy. At first he really couldn’t have given two shits about what people thought of him - the aftermath of losing you taking over his mind and his behaviour wasn’t pretty. He was pictured out drinking most of the days, heavy bags under his eyes when the paparazzi caught a glimpse of him. It was a miracle the CIA allowed him to keep his job for them six months of hell.
That’s when Elsie stepped in. An old family assistant hired by his father to help get Nick’s life back on track - a beacon of light in redirecting the path he was taking. If it wasn’t for her, he really didn’t know where he’d be right now - certainly not with his own company, he knew that for sure.
Not that his father really cared, Nick already knew how his dad viewed him - weak, a failure, in definite need of some help. Even worse when Nick witnessed how he reacted to his regret of the upcoming divorce.
“Son, you’ve got the promotion, you’ve got the life I always dreamed of for you. Now quit your fucking sulking over some pussy you could get anywhere else and man up.”
His father just wanted Nick to make the family name shine.
It shouldn’t have been at the cost of you, though. Never at the expense of having to lose you. He realises that now.
Elsie, however, genuinely cared. She wanted him to succeed because it was good for him. No ulterior motive. Just as someone who’s seen the harsh reality of his life from afar. Her first matter of business for him - leave the CIA and start fresh.
Pictures are taken as he walks down the carpet, a few words are given in answer to interview questions - the usual. He speaks about his growing business, plans for the future. He chooses to ignore those scavenging to get the tiniest ounce of information about you out of him and move on.
The doors to the entrance of the convention were in sight and Nick couldn’t be happier to see the end of the blinding lights and the whiny brat attached to his arm.
His haven was just within reach, just a couple more steps until he could start climbing the stairs to a lesser evil.
Until sudden screams from paparazzi and interviewers hold him to his spot.
Nick looks to Elsie to see if the commotion is worth holding back for, only to see her eyes widen and her mouth fall open in what can only be described as shock and dumbstruck.
He’s only seen that look on her face two times - first being the one time he broke down in front of her and trashed the entirety of his home in his depression of missing you. The second when he finally got the courage to show her the only photo he had left of you and him after he ruined the others in his rampage. The most special day of his life where you gazed into his eyes, wearing the most stunning white dress, like he hung the moon and stars for you.
If it were possible, he swears he would.
Nick braces himself to slowly turn around, unsure of what he’s going to find, only to see the very woman who still held his heart in all her radiance at the other end of the carpet.
It’s like he’s seeing you for the first time all over again. Across the room from each other, him in pure wonderment of you as you’re glowing in your element, totally unaware of his presence, with all eyes on you.
Signs were always a load of bullshit to Nick - a superstition that gave people hope in their time of need. He never believed in them. But if the black dress you’re wearing, too similar to the one you wore eleven years ago, isn’t one? Then Nick isn’t sure what is.
And as if his prayers have been answered, you look straight ahead through the chaos to see him for the first time since you left three years ago - the image of you serving him divorce papers still fresh in his mind.
Attempts to fix the relationship between you were never ending on your side. Suggestions of couples therapy had gone ignored. Getaways to escape reality planned to then be pushed back by him to a later date - always too busy and never able to let work be at the back of his mind for a single day. All options had been accounted for. You put every ounce of your love into figuring out how to pull back the pieces of your marriage that had fizzled out. But you were exhausted and the fight in you had left a long time ago.
So, you had made the decision you never wanted to consider without good enough reason, with a heavy heart that you refused to keep putting in the line of fire.
The divorce papers you gently placed on his desk had shook Nick to his core, regret seeping into your skin as you caught the genuine horror in his features, mouth gaped open with a loss for words.
It was almost too late for Nick to reel himself back to the present by the time you were walking towards him. Half way down the carpet, ignoring everyone else calling your name and full focus on him. The luckiest man in the world to have a crumb of your attention.
Heels lining up to his dress shoes, you stand millimeters apart from each other, time stopping as he soaks in your appearance as though it’s keeping him alive. He still wasn’t sure if he was dreaming. If he was, he never wanted to wake up.
“Hey, you.” Your satin voice is music to his ears. Deprived of your ambience for too long and it all of a sudden felt like he could breathe again. He’s missed everything about you - the desire to reach out and touch you overwhelming his senses.
“Hi” it feels so underwhelming to say with a decade of history behind the two of you. But by the sparkle in your eyes and tiny upturn of your lips that only he could notice, Nick knows you understand the severity that one greeting holds. A lifetime feeling like it’s passed since he last laid his eyes on you and God, were you beautiful as ever.
“It’s been a while, hasn’t it?”. You speak as though you're both old friends catching up. Everyone around you knows that couldn’t be further from the truth, the both of you know that couldn’t be further from the truth. But that didn’t matter when the dreams that have haunted his nights are coming to life in front of him, his fantasies of getting to see you again happening in real time. Nick can only dumbly nod as he imagines how stupid he must look to you.
Though, he should know you better than that. He should know that you only ever saw the best in him - that no matter how silly in love he looked, you adored him.
“How have you been?” curiosity weaves through your question as you tighten your lips, that cheeky smile you’re trying to hide slipping through anyway.
Without you? Terrible.
Is what he wishes he could say. But he would never let you feel guilty for that, so instead he answers, “I’ve been alright, life’s been a little busy. Hardly any free time but you know how it goes in this business.”
You laugh, “yeah, I guess being the director of the CIA does have its downsides”. As soon as the words leave your mouth you realise the implication of them, your face falling and your eyes so damn apologetic trying to portray that you didn’t mean how they came out.
Luckily, Nick knows there’s no malice in what you said. There’s not one mean bone in your body and he wants to ease your worries. “Ah it does. But I’m not the director anymore. I um-, I actually stepped down to pursue something else”.
“You-… you stepped down?”
The surprise in your voice is refreshing for him. It would’ve pained him two years ago for you to have the expectation that he wouldn’t do it, but he’s grown since then - understands how he behaved in the last year of your marriage and the scars it left you. He simply confirms “I did, sweetheart”.
You fluster at the pet name. He must still have some of that charm that won you over in the first place. The thought makes him feel young again - that bright eyed, ambitious agent who was head over heels in love with you. Some things never change.
“So um-, w-what are you doing now?”
“I’ve created my own private investigation company from the ground up. Thought I could at least use my skills for something useful. We’re currently in the number one spot with local competition with plans to expand business into Europe within the year.”, pride shines through Nick.
You take a minute to recompose, both from the shock of seeing him tonight and the information dump you received within minutes of each other. Taking the bait to look into his eyes, those azure blue eyes that are desperately calling out to you, you softly murmur with conviction, “I’m proud of you Nicki, truly.”
‘Nicki’. A name, laced with so much love, he hasn’t heard in a long time.
The guilt rushes in as he tries to remember the exact moment he last heard you say it in that teasing drawl of yours and comes up short. He’d neglected you for a great while towards the end of your marriage, ache in his heart ever present whenever his mind transports him back to your defeated face when he begged you not to leave.
His promotion had changed him - the greed of his ambition to be at the top interfering with your marriage. The constant missions he was offered became priority - king size bed feeling bigger than ever before when only one of the two occupants slept in it for the past year. Walks around the garden surrounding the home you and Nick had renovated together as lonely as could be when you reminisced on the picnics he would plan in the summertime - an excuse to make love to you in the tall grass towards the lake.
You couldn’t even remember the last time Nick had touched you - all the more painful when you found out he had been recently partnered up in Paris with Mace. An ex fling who held no boundaries in letting Nick know how much she missed him.
You couldn’t do it anymore.
“Don’t do this to me baby, please, don’t do this to me. We can work on it, on us, you know we can. Look at me angel.. look at me.” He grabbed your face and tilted to look into his bloodshot eyes.
“Do you want me to get on my knees and beg? Because I will. I’ll get on my fucking knees for you right now and beg if that’s what it takes for you to stay. I can’t do this without you, none of this means shit to me if you leave. I’ll quit, I’ll tell them the job can get fucked and we can go back to how we were. I’ll change, I’ll do anything, baby, I’m begging you. Just please don’t go. I need you.”
The sorrow on Nick’s face had crushed your soul. You didn’t want this. You never thought in a million years that this was where you and he would end up.
But you couldn’t trust his pleas, the sweet promises too late to mend what had been broken.
“I’m sorry Nick, but I just don’t believe you anymore… I need this, I need you to sign the papers. This is me asking for one last thing from you. Please.. let me go.”
Your gentle, affectionate smile reserved only for him brings him back and reassures his mind that you would never hold it against him. You know exactly what he’s thinking and your eyes tell him so much more than words ever could.
Stop blaming yourself.
Too kind for this world, and definitely too kind for him - your only weakness.
Your tender moment is broken with a stomp of a foot and an ear screeching whine, the easily forgettable presence beside you only becoming noticeable with her cry for attention.
“Nicki-“
“Don't you ever call me that.”
The silence that follows is deafening. Mixtures of shock from both you and the girl, leaving your mouths falling open: her reasoning probably from having someone put her in her place and yours from the protectiveness he places on a name given to him by you.
If Nick notices the rubbing of your thighs underneath your dress, he doesn’t say anything.
After a couple of seconds have passed, his date crosses her arms and looks over to you with venom lining her features as she spits to Nick, “care to introduce me?”
Totally disregarding announcing who the hell she is (unsure himself), he instead focuses on the only person worth talking about. “Um, this is…” he trails off not knowing how to even begin explaining how you know each other, the title of ‘ex wife’ doing no justice to how much you mean to him.
You notice his struggle and decide to help him out, “oh me and Nicki go way back, don’t we, honey?”.
Oh, that tone takes him back for sure.
Nick lets out the biggest smirk, “Yeah, I guess you could say that, îngerul meu.”
There’s a small pause between you as you take in how easily you fall back into the other's charms.
“You look good Nick, really good.”
“Look who’s talking sweets, you always did know how to get me going in a black dress.”
Electric. The passion between you holds no bounds, even after all the time apart. The teasing back and forth. Intense eye contact. A crowd of people around you that you pay no attention to - way too invested in each other to care about anything else.
The abrupt clearing of a throat reminds you that the brat is still here, forgetting about her once again. A lipstick stain on her teeth gets your attention and you visibly cringe. That pink was not doing her any favours.
You look back at your ex-husband, “well, it’s been a pleasure seeing you, Nick. I really hope to bump into you again soon.”
“Is that a promise?”
Your eyes light up, the shared memory holding a special place in both your hearts. You shake your head, amusement in your smile and a thumping heart. He can see the battle going on in your mind - the debate between your head and your heart on whether to run into his arms or force yourself to hold back. You choose the latter, moving to make your way up the stairs with a departing wave, “Bye Nick.”
Panic settles in his chest as the idea of you walking away from him once more makes his head spin.
His heart still breaks when he remembers how tender you were to him, even after all the pain he put you through. Bags only filled with items of sentimental value standing next to you in the hallway.
“I’m not mad at you baby. You gave me the best of you for seven years and that’s more than I could’ve dreamt of…” you took a couple of uneven breaths in composure, needing it to hit home for him exactly why you were doing this, “but somewhere in the last year you got lost, and I can’t damage myself any further trying to bring you back.”
You saw the recognition in his face where he stood, the mental beating he gave himself for not rectifying the marriage sooner. But there was no love lost between you and your overly kind heart had you tell him so.
“I love you, I love you so much and I’m scared of the lengths I would go for you Nick. That’s why I have to go. Because I keep putting you before myself and it’s killing me. It’s not fair to me anymore. I’ve got to start focusing on myself now, do you understand that?”
He did. He understood. The nod he gave as confirmation the only way he could communicate without making this any harder for you.
It was all he could do but watch, a passenger in his own body, as you slowly slid your engagement and wedding ring off your trembling finger and reached for his hand to bring it palm up between them. The sob he let out recognition that he knew what was coming, that this was the end for the both of you.
With reluctance, you dropped both pieces of jewelry into his palm, gently closing your hand over his to squeeze three times before letting go. A final ‘I love you’. He let himself get lost in your eyes one last time, relishing each and every memory you’ve had over the years as he shot you a shaky smile - it’s okay, I know you have to do this.
Tears cascaded down your cheeks, as you stepped forward to place your hands on his cheeks, smoothing your thumbs over his overgrown beard before giving your husband one last slow peck on his chapped lips.
Both of you pull away and touch your foreheads together, savouring the last moments with each other before you separate for good to set out on your own journeys in life - the only time you will have been apart from each other in almost a decade.
Stepping away with your head down, eyes still closed, you turned away from him. The deep breath you took gave you the strength to grab your bags, zone your vision on the door and take the first step to start this new phase on your own. A taxi waiting outside to take you to London for your job transfer at Shield’s new headquarters.
You heard the aftermath of the door closing behind you. The thud audible from outside was enough to imagine the way your husband had crumbled to the floor, legs giving out to fall to his knees in despair.
His cries and whimpers haunted you now and for the rest of your days without him to come.
Nick gets out of his head when you stop on the second step and before going any further, you turn around to face the girl again, honing in on her mouth.
He knows that look - you’re going for the kill.
“Oh! sweetie, before I go, you might wanna wipe the lipstick from your teeth. Can't have you going in like that and ruin poor Nicki’s reputation now can we?”
The embarrassment that colours her cheeks is priceless. Too stunned to do anything else but whip her compact out to viciously scrub the tacky hot pink staining her teeth, missing your smile of victory in rattling her.
Turning to Nick, you throw him a wink and climb the remaining steps to enter the event, sway of your hips hypnotizing him as you fade away.
Always looking after him and always teasing him. He doesn’t remember the last time he smiled like this.
He doesn’t remember the last time his cock was so hard either.
He shakes his head in astonishment. His little firecracker, no different than you were before. He couldn’t believe you were back.
fixing the wrong he unintentionally caused wasn’t going to be easy, nick knew that, but he was ready to try it with everything he had.

You woke up, feeling cold. It was like your body knew something was missing. You touched Nick’s place on the bed. Looking for his warmth, for his presence, but frown when you feel his place empty, but still warm.
You waited a few seconds, thinking he was in the bathroom, but when you didn’t hear a sound, you decided to seek him out. It was still very much night time. The moon was still up in the sky, the stars still very much visible.
You got up from the bed, dragging the duvet with you to cover your nude body. A shiver ran through your body as you tried your best to walk. You could barely feel your legs and the soreness between your legs, the burning you felt on your thighs, didn’t help your case.
“You taste like strawberry, baby. I could stay in between those legs all day every day. Eating that pussy every meal.”
You clench your thighs remembering the dirty word he had said. Words that contradict everything he did. He had been the sweetest lover you ever had. Your heart soared for him. For his touch once again.
He had first eaten you out, made love with your clit with his tongue as his fingers touched the deepest part of you. He had made you cum two times before finally getting rid of his own clothes.
Everything had been slow, unrushed, like time didn’t exist anymore and you were the only thing that mattered to him. It felt amazing when he had finally trusted the inside core. Gently, slowly, sliding in and out of your wetness. Taking the time to get to know your body, all your sweet spots.
Last night, he hadn’t fuck you like many times before, he had made love to you.
It had confused you, made you question what was the nature of your relationship. It made your feelings go up and down like a rollercoaster. Your heart was telling you he loved you, just like you did, but your mind kept on repeating that you were delusional, that he just wanted to go slow because he wanted to, not because of some ulterior motive.
When you had both started this arrangement, it was just to relieve stress after missions. You both tried to train it out, but it never worked so you both decided to be good ol’ friends with benefits.
You both only had one rule. Maybe the most cliche rule for when people start that sort of relationship, but a very important one nonetheless: No falling in love. If it happened, you were both to stop immediately.
You broke that rule two months after the first night. At first, you didn’t know what it was you were feeling. You didn’t know why you always craved to be beside him, to look at him, to touch him.
Those feelings, you finally figured them out, one night, during an undercover mission. You were both undercover, at a gala, trying to find some information about a mafia. You both had mingled with the people. You went to the bar, listening to conversation, while Nick was chatting with a beautiful woman.
She was laughing at whatever he was saying, her hand reaching for his biceps. You felt a pang of jealousy inside of you, growing at each second you watched them. That was when you realized you love him. You loved your partner. You loved Nick.
“Nick?” You whispered in the darkness, your eyes looking for his figure. A breeze went past the cover, making you shiver and your teeth clashing together.
“You shouldn’t be out of bed, berry. Especially since it’s so cold outside.” You turned toward his deep voice. He was sitting by the window of the living room, his eyes trailing the snow slowly falling outside. You couldn’t see his somber expression in the moonlight. Your heart clenched, thinking of the worst.
“I know, but why aren’t you there too?” You took a step towards him, adjusting the cover around so you wouldn’t step on it and trip.
Nick sighed, still not looking at you, and rubbed his forehead. “Can’t sleep.” Was all he said. Your heart was running like a wild horse. It was so loud you could hear it in your ears. Your heart was telling you to ask, ask him what is wrong. Your mind, him, was warning you for the worst, telling you to build walls or you will get hurt.
“Come back to be. I’m sure I could help you get back to sleep.” You tried to say seductively, but winced when you failed.
That’s when Nick looked up to you and you could see it. The trail of tears on his cheeks. “I can’t berry. I can’t do this anymore.” Your heart shattered. You cursed yourself to not listen to your mind.
You plastered a confused expression, trying to hide all the pain, not willing to show him how affected you are by his decision. “But-But why? I thought we were good. Am I not good? Is it because I didn’t want to do butt stuff? We can if you want!” You rambled on to him as Nick shook his head.
“It’s not that, berry…”
It was your turn to cry, fat tears rolling down making your vision blur. “Did-Did you find someone? If so, why fuck me last night! That’s just messed up!”
Nick got up from the window and walked closer to you. “It’s not that! I would never do something like that!” He screamed.
“Then what is it? I deserve to know why you suddenly want that do end after fucking me! If you have an ounce of respect for me, then you will tell me!”
“Because I love you!” Your eyes widen. He was right in front of you, you could feel his breath on your skin. “I love you, berry and I know it was our first rule, but I couldn’t help myself. It wasn’t supposed to happen, but it did.”
You were in shock. Your mouth kept on opening and closing, but with no sound.
“I love you and that’s why I gotta let you go…”
“I love you too.” It was Nick’s turn to be choked. As you said those words, you felt a big bagage on your shoulder finally leaving. Your secret was now out in the open and he was reciprocating your feelings. You don’t know when was the last time you felt that much joy.
You smiled when he cupped your face in his big hands. He looked back and forth between your eyes and your lips. “I love you Nick.” You slowly repeated and he pressed his lips on yours.
It was slow, just like last night. “Mine.” He said in the kiss. “Finally mine.”
You nod. “I’m yours, Nick.”
He got rid of your tears and leaned, putting his forehead on yours, connecting the both of you. You looked into his eyes and your eyes fluttered at all the love you could see. You just hoped your eyes could do it to him too. The only thing you couldn’t understand was the speck of sadness you could see in them. You were both finally together, so why be sad?
Nick took a deep breath and kissed your forehead. “Let’s go to bed, yeah, my berry.” You nod and let him lead you back into the bedroom. You both slowly layed down on the bed and you covered him with the cover you brought with him. You tangled your legs with his and placed a hand on his jaw, your thumb caressing his rough cheeks.
You both looked at each other. You were fighting for your eyes to stay open because you were scared this was all just a dream. “I hope this isn’t a dream.” You couldn’t help but say as your eyes closed.
You were about to go into deep slumber when Nick kissed your temple. “I’m sorry.” He whispered and you went to sleep.
The next morning, you woke up with a smile on your face. You turned around to look at Nick’s side of the bed to find it empty. This time, when you touch it, it’s cold. You try to calm your heart by saying he was probably on a run or cooking breakfast.
You were about to get up from the bed only to find a small piece of paper on your bed stool. You unfold it and sobbed at what was written
A big “I’m sorry”.
