They're both autistic. I'll actually die on this hill. And so when they got together they stopped hosting any parties because they both dislike crowds. They're just very introverted and many of their neighbours think of them as two hermits.
Jay picks Nick's clothes so they usually match colors with each other (Jay in pink Nick in green etc) but they always have nice and fitting colors because Jay wants his boyfriend to look stunning.
They go on walks. A lot of long walks and they sit by the sea(?) there is sea there, right? Okay imagine if there was. They watch sunsets and adopt cats. They're both cat people. They have a lot of cats.
Still friends with Jordan and Daisy! They hang out a lot and go on double dates where they pretend Jordan is still with Nick and Daisy is with Jay.
When Jay is overwhelmed he goes to his green house (because he loves plants/flowers okay?!) and Nick will often find him sitting on the floor just kind of curled up there. And he'll sit with him and stay quiet because he knows it's better this way. And his presence is comforting.

Starting off with the basics, he's gonna wanna hire you. He'll even offer you his bed in the agency, it's not like he sleeps in it anyway. You, him, and Ellie are gonna be the greatest group of detectives in the Commonwealth. Ellie can hold down the fort at home while you and Nick go solve mysteries.
If he hasn't seen you for more than 2 weeks, then, depending on how many cases he's working on, he's gonna go looking for you. He doesn't wanna come across as overbearing, but he's so concerned about losing you, he honestly can't help but want to ensure that you're alright.
That being said, he's always gonna be there for you. You need someone to talk to? Head on over to Nick's place, you were there for him with Winter and he'll gladly be there for you.
Expect a lot of moments where the two of you just sit in comfortable silence. Him looking over case files and you tinkering with your weapons.
Nick—especially around the holidays—will light a little campfire somewhere in the agency and the three of you (you, Nick, and Ellie) will just sit around and talk. It's one of his favorite past times. Just a nice, comfortable moment to take a breath and celebrate yourselves for all the work you've completed together.
Nick will be one of, if not the, most honest person you'll ever come across. He might soften it a bit but Nick will still tell you the truth, whether it's hard or not. He doesn't think he has it in him to keep something from you.
Nick has a habit of quoting pre-war media because he knows you'll understand the references.
If you have the Mysterious Stranger perk, he'll occasionally sit you down in his office and confide his findings with you. He wants to know what you think about him and every detail involving your interactions with the stranger.
Nick is naturally a more serious and sarcastic person, but he finds that he smiles a lot more when he's with you. Nothing big, but nothing too subtle either.
Whenever you meet someone new, Nick likes to interrogate them. He's like a dad in that sense. Again, he's worried he'll come off as overbearing, but he wants to make sure you're not being taken advantage of.
The kind of guy who teaches you how to tie a tie.
If you agreed to stay with him and Ellie at the agency, then he'll frequently ask if you want to go on walks with him around Diamond City. Domestic things like this make him feel at peace, especially when it's with someone he cares about.
Nick really likes to play blackjack with you and, unless you have a crazy good luck stat, he'll win every time. He, at the very least, isn't prone to bragging. It's one of the pros of playing any competitive game with him.
It’s hard to find, but when he can he’ll make you a cup of coffee. He technically doesn’t need it, but he can remember how much human Nick liked it, and you probably deserved it.
On days that aren't busy, Nick will turn the radio on and you’ll teach each other how to dance to certain songs until Travis mentions something that seems sketchy enough to look into.
Boyfriend Ichigo who doesn't make fun of the height difference the two of you have. In the first few months of your relationship you catch him staring at you as you try to reach for the item on the highest shelf.

Boyfriend Ichigo who got his first job and suddenly he's excited with the amount of money in his hold.
"Don't," you tell him, hand hovering above his that held the cash he wanted to give you. "Treat your sisters first. Then your dad."

Because Sapnap moved in with Dream he wouldn't just let you move in. He awkwardly asked permission from Dream and George now that he lived with them.

"Dream! George!" Sapnap calls out, through the house. "Could you guys come into the living room for a second?" He didn't wait for an answer. Walking back into the living he sat down in his spot on the couch.
"What's up?" Dream asks when he walks into the living room. Dropping down on his spot on the couch. Soon after George followed, sitting next to Dream.
"Alright, uhm," Sapnap immediately shut down. How the fuck was he going to ask this. It felt so weird. He knew they liked Y/n. They've been here so many times. "I'm not sure .. how to .. ask this," he takes a deep breath.
"Is everything okay?" George asks, a little worried about Sapnap's nervous demeanour. "Did something happen with Y/n?"
"Uhm, not yet-"
"Not yet? What does that mean?" Dream cuts Sapnap off in pure confusion.
"Is something going on between you too?"

"What!"
"No, not that!" Sapnap is quick to cut off George. Guessing he was jumping to a very big conclusion. "I just need," letting out a sigh as if to ignore his nervousness. He stops jumping around the subject.
"Need what?" now Dream was also worried about Sapnap.
"Okay, I'm just gonna ask. This is our house, so I need your permission," he starts. "Can Y/n, move in?"
"Really?" Dream is the first to answer. "You beat around the bush so much, for that?" he chuckled, letting out a breath he didn't realise he was holding. "I was so worried for a second there."
"Yeah, same," George said.
"I'm sorry I worried you guys," Sapnap apologized, scratching the back of his neck. "But...?"
"Of course that's fine, Y/n is great," Dream answered the still nervous Sapnap.
"You guys have been together for ages, of course, it's fine," George added. "Plus, Y/n's cooking is chef's kiss," All three chuckled at the comment.
When Sapnap asked you to move in with them you were genuinely shocked

He knew of you, of course, had seen you on discord multiple times. But he hadn't met you in real life yet. Completely forgetting about the fridge, he went back to the living room. There he found you and Sapnap. Cuddled close together. Sapnap on his back, snapback lowered so it covered his eyes. You on his chest, hips secure between his legs. Sapnaps, right arm wrapped around you. His left hand held tightly by yours. Holding it close to you.
The beeping of the fridge went completely unnoticed by him. You, nor Sapnap, didn't hear it. Both being pretty deep sleepers.
"George!" Dream's voice startles the shit out of George. Making him jump at the suddenness of the call out.
"Do they do this often?" he whispers, his eyes only leaving the couple for a split second. His eyes connected with a frustrated-looking Dream, before returning to the couple.
"Yes, but George, you left-" Dream didn't bother finishing. George tiptoed closer to the couple. *click*
Nap is something the two of you often do
Especially after you had a long workday

"What? You're not making any sense, Darlin'," he chuckles, turning to look at you. Sat on his bed you wear a frustrated thinking look. Rolling his chair over to you, he pecks your cheek. "You'll figure it out. When you do, we'll put it back on our watch list, alright?" You pout but accept defeat.

"Yes, there are toasties in the microwave," you answer, eyes not leaving the tv screen. You had just finished making toasties about 15 minutes ago. You and Sapnap both snacking on them.
Driving

Owning that car is one of the reasons he loves to drive

I love the headcanon that Nick has the most messed up version of what love and loyalty means and is just an insanely lovesick and possessive person over his friends and knows no boundaries. Technically while that's already somewhat true, the thing that'd make it a 'headcanon' is that it's just that behavior cranked up to 1000 🤭 Hehehe...
The Ring: You got engaged with Nick with a classic princess cut diamond on a thin pave band of melee diamonds. You’d recently reviewed a romance novel for publishing at work that you ended up liking quite a lot, and the ring even resembled the one in it.
The Dress: For the (short) ceremony, you wore a tea length, white lace dress that hugged your figure snugly. It complemented the tiny pearl drop earrings you had bought for the occasion. Though you couldn’t waltz in it, you could dance however you wanted, and that was what mattered.

He's obsessed with flowers and has his garden filled with them. He'd appereceated them even when he was younger, especially durning the war since they seemed like the only happy/beautiful thing on the whole planet. When he finally became rich he got a chance to have them by his side at all times. His coping mechanism for feeling anxious or overwhelmed is hiding in the green house where his guests can't find him. When he still loved Daisy he'd have planted daisies all over his garden. He learned the flower language and when they were together sent her bouquets that meant things like undying love consisting of exackly 101 flowers (means you are the one)
Nick!
Nick always wanted to be a writer. Ever since he was little he kept diaries and wrote short stories that weren't appereceated by his parents but at least his teachers enjoyed them and encouraged him to peruse this passion of his. He never really stoped keeping a diary and soon realised that writing down people's tales could make great ideas for bigger works that he never finished. He either though the story was too boring or that it didn't make sense.
Natsby!
Flower Natsby: Nick is a good listener and the first person that'd ever listen to Jay's facts about flowers. The other man shared all his knowlage with Nick both on the biological aspect of plans and the flower language that the two now use to communicate secret messages. Jay also showers Nick with pretty bouquets. He's very dissapointed to find out some of them make Nick allergic.
Writer Natsby: When Nick works on his book one of Jay's favourite pastimes is to distract him. That is his favourite time to demand attention. His personal goal is to get Nick to read his stories to him. Which Nick hates doing but he must admit that Gatsby's insight and comments always help him come up with better ideas. Besides it's nice having someone love your writing uncomditionally no metter how hard Nick tries to deny it.
