i LOVE that nicki minaj gave props to Angie's interview skills for cornering her about her relationship with Meek Mill, rather than getting upset

For real though I love that after all these interviewers having been nagged her "so when you gonna start doing real rap again" or "when you gonna put out real pop again" she just ... like she's been dropping this roller coaster of different sounds and sides of her, even the fact that Only was a mistake video kind of defines her to me to, like to me she is A. Girly/Great voice (Pills and potions came out) B. A brilliant bussinesswoman (pill/potions mv product placement exemplified that) C. Sexy/Fun (anaconda came out) D. Witty/Young Money rapper (then Only came out) E.  Imperfect (Only video showed that) E. Serious/Deep (bed of lies is next)

right so i'll be real i hate nicki's new, "Only", but people talking as if she's converted into some cult where she only exists for sex but hon putting aside the fact that the song freaking BEGINS with her saying i havent fucked wayne nor drake and putting aside the fact she has laughed at interviewers asking if they dated and putting aSIDE the fact she is friends with rihanna and putting aside the fact she's called Drake a brother nearly everytime he's mentioned

do yall not realize that which of her songs -- the fun/racey ones or the serious (ex pills and potions) -- are played on the radio is determined by the consumers? like? consumers determine which side is shown by the media. 

She's not cardboard. Nicki Minaj and every stripper on this planet and every president on this planet and every student on this planet and every artist on this planet is a four dimensional human being. She has a sexy side and a serious side and about 100 other sides (blatantly exemplified by her various psyeudonyms/ alter personalities) because she does not exist in one state of emotion she is not cardboard SHE IS NOT CARDBOARD stop, STOP. stap STOP trying to dethrone her just because yoour ears are too innocent to be tainted

I HATE THE SONG BECAUSE CHRIS/WAYNE/DRAKE WERE UNORIGINAL AND ONLY TALKING ABOUT EFFING HER, BUT LET'S TAKE A MOMENT AND REALIZE THAT NICKI'S VERSE IS ACTUALLY STILL A KILLER AND DOES NOT EVEN MEET YOUR REASONS FOR HATING. Hate the song because it's about sex? ok yep i agree the boys were trashy. wait oh but OH WHAT'S THIS? ok here we go we are going to dissect this and you are going to change your initial impression, which i'm sure is 'scandalized', to respect. 

1. I already discussed the first line, and the next two are just supporting/repeating that point

2. "I don't duck nobody but tape" !!!!  So far she has yet to degrade herself, and she's also just made a clever pun. 

3. "Worried bout if my butt's fake" Thank you why is this even a subject. I dyed my hair, my friend has a tattoo; why do you care what/if people change their body from its original state? Really though really please if you have a problem please I PROMISE to answer respectfully, I truly want to know, honestly, why do you care? I should like to think you'd want control the convoy you travel in before it rots away. Just like trans have a right to change their body, so does anyone else. Have we forgotten that part of the whole. point. of. America. is "the pursuit of happiness"??! I'm stopping here because i'm getting off topic

4. "When I walk in, sit up straight, I don’t give a f*k if I was late" hahahaaha i love this i truly - oh gaowd, i love this so much. As a sleepy college student, i have no reason to complain about someone telling me to sit up confidently and not worry about how late you are. 

5. The next three lines are literally the only ones that are describing sex, in her verse, and it's actually a funny/clever metaphor ok so admit it, plus its not graphic like the boys' verses

6. The remainder of her verse is just witty/sassy flex, no sex. OMG I DIDNT MEAN FOR THAT TO RHYME!

can i take a second to appreciate that nicki pauses in talk shows to call out good transitions and commend ppl who do their work well and shuts down/doesn't put up with ppl who are unprofessional
