Nickles Week Day 3: AU

IM SO EXCITED TO FINALLY POST THIS!!!

My bf and I have an au where Nathan is a swamp monster and Pickles finds him when he goes into a forest to smoke after a show in Florida. They get interested in each other and very quickly form a bond that turns romantic.

I’m super proud of this drawing, and super happy I finally get to post it after sitting on it for so long! I wish I could participate in more of Nickles week, but depression and executive dysfunction have been kicking my ass lately.

Keep your eyes open for something big on day 7 though... 👀

Nickles Week Day 1

Music or Ocean

It counts if both scenes take place inside the ocean, right?

Summary: Nathan's been having these whale dreams for god knows how long and isn’t ever seen to acknowledge them until The Church of The Black Klok, when Ishnifus says, “We know why you destroyed liquid master.” And even then, all Nathan does is freeze. We never see it actually discussed.

Pickles takes issue with this.

Nickles Week Day 3

AU or Canonverse!

The only AU-ish tweak to cannon I’ve made is adding a “cut moment” so there’s a slightly longer pause between Pickles flicking the cigarette and Toki socking Nathan in the stomach. 

Set during Girlfriendklok. Includes canon-typical violence, some light dom/sub stuff, and Pickles being a brat. 

Summary: The sting of Pickles’ slap heated his cheek. "Funny thing about being tied down," Pickles muttered darkly, and Nathan immediately had him pegged as the instigator. Those words and the way that slap was perfectly calculated to sting but not give him fucking whiplash, told him everything he needed to know. That, and something else that he’d caught sight of in the instant before impact.

Nickles Week Day 4

Swap Day!

Okay, this requires some context, because it’s a deeply unexpected and unlooked for 4th chapter to a story I first posted the first chapter of on LiveJournal 11 years and 1 week ago exactly. 

The premise is that Nathan slept with Seth sometime during Dethfam. This chapter is set during Dethwedding.

Nickles Week Day 2

Winter or Summer!

One is from Wisconsin where it’s cold as shit, and one is from Florida where it’s humid as balls. Can love bloom through opposites?

Summary: Winter, Nathan is fairly sure, is more brutal than death. After all, you have to be fucking alive for it, right? It had never been this bad in Florida. There is fucking snow on the ground, feet of it, still sticking from that blizzard a few days ago.

It's the last day of Nickles week and sadly, I have absolutely nothing to contribute. It's been a rough week, working my ass off, sick husband, sick rat, etc. So I haven't had the physical or mental energy to write something.

Once things get a little less crazy around here I'll write something, but for now at least I get to enjoy those of y'all who are writing and drawing and making me really happy. 🐊🐙
