I made a playlist for my wizard, Lindsay the halfling.

Witch (the bird and the bee)

Lindsay’s got magic, and the folks at home never quite understood him.

Lindsay worked hard to learn magic, but maybe some of that hard work was more for Morna than for learning. Is she a mother, a big sister, or a crush?

She got that Rustic Hospitality, y’all. This wizard can work the land, or forge you a new horseshoe.

Paranoia (Liza Anne)

Lindsay’s got a screw loose in their head. They’ve got nightmares, they see things in the dark, they always assume danger. 

On the Road Again (Jack Broadbent)

Lindsay’s a traveler, a dirt road wizard.

Unlike many D&D characters, Lindsay’s got a loving family back home. He knew he had to leave, but when things are rough, he thinks about his old hobbit hole.

Old rock bands were big fans of fantasy. There’s something universal about the wandering wizard.

My brand new D&D character is a 4′9″ Eladrin Druid. They have lived in the Feywild their entire life, learned magic from pixies, and have no idea what anyone is talking about. They have the Common vocabulary of a 6-year-old, but they speak fluent Sylvan.

This character had some subconscious influence from @aeverelle‘s pc Vi from The Second Age (good show, would recommend).

A Human Redemption Paladin.

A Halfling Warlock, Fiend. Once a simple halfling gardener, accidentally came across a demonic tome while tending soil. After opening it, a devilish creature, trapped within, jumped into their mind. The devil sometimes takes over, especially during combat, knowing that if the halfling dies, it does too.

A Human Thief. After being run out of town on account of his small-town thieving ways, the young man spent months living alone in the mountains. One day, he came across some ancient treasure, the near-fully-looted hoard of a long-dead dragon. From this discovery, he was inspired to pursue a new ambition. He became a mountaineer, traveling along the ranges and searching for hidden treasures and slumbering monsters. One day, while selling his gains in a city square, he discovers that some of his treasure is not as mundane as he first expected.

A Human Open Hand Monk. Once a soldier, he fought through years of harrowing battle. After he was finally and honorably relieved of duty, he was haunted by the things that war had brought him to, the blood that his sword had drawn. Deciding to make amends for all of his wrongdoings, or at least those things that he perceived as wrongdoings, he swore never again to take up a sword. In order to make right his wrongs, he joined a monastery, where he lived peacefully for any years, content to live out his life in this manner. When he thought he had finally escaped from war, war came to him. A dark force cascaded through the countryside where his monastic brethren resided, and the innocent commoners in the land around him were ravaged by evildoers. After days of meditation, he decided that his only choice was to fight against the evil. Still abiding by his oath, he left his brethren, venturing towards the battlefield without armor, shield, or blade.

A Human Land Druid, Mountain. Member of a barbarian tribe, acts as healer to the tribespeople, as well as an advisor to the chief. When the druid becomes ill, he is unable to watch over the tribe. In his absence, they begin disrespecting the mountain and its natural order. After a month of illness, without the druid’s guidance to calm the spirits of nature, the mountain is angered with the tribe. One day, the mountain decides to punish the tribe for their disrespect. As the creatures and plants of the mountain bear down on the tribespeople, trapping them in one central location, the earth of the mountain shakes, opening up as a gaping maw, swallowing the tribe in its stony depths. The druid is spared, and vies to travel the world, preventing incidents like this from occurring anywhere else.

A Human Wu Jen Mystic. He didn’t choose the psionic power that he has acquired, it was a gift of the gods. He is part of a long line of chosen souls, made to master the four elements in order to maintain the balance of the world. He must journey across the world to places where the boundaries between the Material and Elemental planes are thin. There he will meet masters of each element. It is not until he has met and trained under those masters that he will achieve Mastery over those elements. His challenge is to, with the guidance of those who have taken the journey before him, find these places where the planes mingle. As the adventure begins, he has just completed his Mastery of Water and Ice.
