This is Nick. Nick was born with Biliary Artresia, a pediatric liver disease. In and out of the hospital since he was a month old, Nick became adept at keeping himself entertained during long stays. Over the years he developed a must-have list of stuff to bring to stay occupied while in the hospital. When his close friend was diagnosed with cancer, Nick packed a backpack full of his "picks" and delivered them to his buddy. Nick's Picks, his charity, was born. Since its inception, Nick has delivered over 300 "Nick's Picks" backpacks to children across California. When I grow up, I want to be like Nick.
