alternate canon verse / revo army verse ;

robin is scouted / found by the revolutionary army early on in her timeline (around 17-18 years old). she still experiences the loss of ohara as well as the cruel treatment of people who posed to help her in pursuit of the bounty on her head. before she can team up with crocodile and join baroque works however, she's instead recruited by the revolutionary army. while she eventually ends up in the same orbit as the straw hats, she remains with the revo army throughout the canon storyline and provides aid time and again.

nico robin is from the small moon, ohara, where the inhabitants specialize and are taught the history and archaeology of various planets. however, the moon is destroyed by a branch of space government in their pursuit of the truth regarding a secret they've kept shamefully buried. their pursuit of hidden knowledge gets them in trouble, and as a child, robin is forced to flee on an escape pod. from there, she travels from place to place, never truly finding a home. she herself is on the pursuit of the secret her mom and homeland tried to uncover. as of right now, she's the archaeologist onboard the ship, thousand sunny with the space pirate group, the straw hats.
