Sitting on the dock of the bay
Enjoying Hawaii’s natural beauty is something I can do every day. Most often, I’m focusing on going home, getting to work, and making sure I get the few things I need done - finished. My office is across the street from the beach but I have never - in the few years that I have worked there - ever taken a moment to enjoy looking at the ocean on a work day.
When I get the chance, I like to enjoy the view. There are so many places to revel in the elegance of Honolulu.
One of the wonderful places that I like to relax is in the Pier 38 area. I enjoy looking at the boats in the dock and imagining what goes on there based on the television show I watch called Deadliest Catch.
There’s three restaurants surrounding the pier: Uncle’s, Nico’s Pier 38, and Harbor Restaurant. There’s also a business called POP Fishing and Marine. There’s other warehouses and businesses there too.
Nico’s Pier 38 used to be located in a smaller place in the pier. Back then it used to sell reasonably priced plate lunches. And there was only seating in the outdoor area. These days Nico’s has a much larger indoor dining room as well as some outdoor seating. Since they are so close to the fish auction, and the fishermen, the specialty is fish and using local ingredients. I’ve enjoyed a few good meals at Nico’s. They also have a small section called Nico’s Fishmarket which is like a quick stop store where you can get a Hawaiian plate or a poke bowl.
What are some of the places the where you like to enjoy the view?
I thought this story was going to end up stretching out more days, but I think I might already be on the final day.
I know it happens at Nico’s with everyone there.
And everyone is on their way there.
They just talk until Chloe gets there, and Sid talks to Chloe, and he sees Chloe in pain, and he makes his choice.
He changes something about Wyatt Jacobson, and I’m not entirely sure what yet. And it fixes some things. It’s about opportunities and paths, and futures.
But it’s not the end.
But that big moment will happen soon.
