Went to the mall for the first time in a decade, it's kind of jarring how things have changed yet the mall itself is fundamentally the exact same as back then.
Also it's even more of a rip off buying anything there than it used to be which is almost impressive.
For better or worse, no hand were thrown today on my last shift working grocery. But the future is vast and unknowable so maybe I will beat someone for stealing car fuses or something at some point. We gotta be optimistic after all!
Anyways got the dog bone in today and for giggles and laughs I put a wirebrush on the cat studs and a few bolts and those threads came clean off.
It takes a lot of corroding for your threads to just disappear like that so I guess my whole exhaust probably needs attention.
My late best bud's ma is selling me back my dad's truck, so sorry guys I will soon metamorph into A Truck Bro.

I think I actually hate my workplace. Got talked to because the truck was late and I didn't immediately take pallets out since y'know, they weren't done being delivered yet. I know what my job is, but I'm not gonna stand around for twenty minutes because I also know I'll get talked to about that as well.
Also apparently we can't get a discount as employees, and we don't do sales bc our prices are as low as they can be but we're still doing some dumbass sale and they have enough margin to keep changing the fucking boxes.
I'm really starting to think it'd be better at Walmart. If nothing else, I'll at least get a discount, health insurance, and that free college thing.
I've almost asked every ASM about ideas to improve my times and that I'm looking for help so now some of the heat is off my ass for the time being. Also asked about the training program to see if I can stop the clock for a couple weeks trying to make it to the next quarter for UI purposes.
There is only one ASM I won't bother with, that new lady who was pretty aggressive. I didn't know she was an outside hire so probably is carrying that typical retail manager attitude. Which obviously being the furthest thing from a corpo dog, I won't tolerate.
Want to be clear that I'm only still working on making metric out of a sense of pride and sore loser-ism, not because I actually like the job or company (I hope the [redacted] family falls into ruin).
Interview tomorrow, so I guess we'll see if I am once again employed. I'll just play the cards as they're dealt because I already know there isn't anything I can do otherwise.
Dress decently, ask questions, and sound smart and interested.
