I’m going to have this beauty opened up tomorrow for Anjou Day! This is the “Attention Chenin Mechant” by Nicolas Reau. • • 100% Chenin Blanc farmed organically, planted in silty clay/limestone soils located in the Anjou region of Loire Valley, France. • • The grapes are hand harvested, direct pressed into steel, fermented with indigenous yeast and aged in the lees for 6 months in used oak barrels. The wine is lightly filtered and unfined with less than 10mg of sulfur. It’s extremely aromatic with fresh apricot, apple, honey, spice while offering up citrus, green apple, tropical fruit, stony minerals and bright tangy acidity. It’s Anjou Tuesday!!! This is Nicolas Reau’ “Enlevement Demande” Anjou Rouge made from 100% Biodynamic Cabernet Franc planted in flinty soils in the Anjou region within the Loire Valley. The fruit is de-stemmed, batter under carbonic has for 3-4 weeks, un-racked aged on the lees, 50/50 fermented in concrete and wooden tank. No sulfur added! It’s fresh and lively, full of mostly red berries with a few dark thrown along with a little spice.
